The chart below shows the value of one country’s exports in various categories during 2015 and 2016. The table shows the percentage change in each category of exports in 2016 compared with 2015.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The chart illustrates the value of one country's exports in different categories during 2015 and 2016. Table given on the left of the chart shows the change in percentage in each category exports in 2016 compared with 2015. Five main features are shown in this chart : petroleum products, engineered goods, gem and jwellery, agricultural products and textiles.
Petroleum products are highly exported products as a country get 60$ to 61$ billions in both years. Compared to the other categories, the textile industry was offering slightly lower compensation around 27$ to 28$ billions in 2015, but in 2016, it started offering slightly higher compensation due to that country earned 30$ billions. Agricultural products offers 30$ billion in both years and because of gem and jwelleries' export country gets 42$ billion in 2015 which slightly dropped in 2016 about 40$ billions.
Moreover, it is clearly shown in table that in 2015 to 2016 percentage change in textiles rose 15.24% where gems and jewellery decended 5.18%. Agricultural products value rose only 0.81% and engineered goods upgraded to 8.5%.
