IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The chart below shows the value of one country’s exports in various categories during 2015 and 2016. The table shows the percentage change in each category of exports in 2016 compared with 2015.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The given bar chart shows the data of export of one country in 2015 and 2016 and table present changes in values of export products.
The bar chart illustrate comparison between five categories in two years like Petroleum products, Engineered goods, Gems and jewellery, Agriculture products and Textiles. The textiles have masive growth of 15,24 percent while gems and jewellery decreased around 5.18 percent.
However, The bar chart shows the petroleum products increse 3 percent from 60 billions to around 62 billion while textile products have masive increse of 15.24 percent from around 27 billion to more than 30 billions. Engineered goods have increase of 8.5 percent from 58 billion to almost 61 billion. The gems and jewelley have drop of 5.18 percent loss of almost 2 to 3 billion. At last the agriculture products have increse of 0.81 percent which is almost half billion dollars.
