The chart below shows the value of one country’s exports in various categories during 2015 and 2016. The table shows the percentage change in each category of exports in 2016 compared with 2015.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The bar chart displays the value of one country's exports in various categories between 2015 and 2016. The table illustrates the percentage change in each category of exports in 2016 compared with 2015.
Overall, Throughout the period, the petroleum products were the highest exports products. And, the textiles were the lowest exports products over the period.The table displays, that the majority of products was increasing in comapre to petroleum, engineered goods, agricultural and textiles. However, Gems and jewellery fell considerably decreased in values.
At the beginning, the export earnings of petroleum products started off at 60% and slightly rose over the period. And finished off at around 62%. The engineered goods and agricultural products increased noticeably. The engineered goods started off at around 57% and finished same as petroleum products. The textiles rose significantly, started off at 25% and finished off just above 30%.
