Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response successfully addresses all parts of the prompt by presenting an overview and selecting key features from both the bar chart and the table. The writer properly identifies main trends, such as petroleum products being the highest earners and textiles experiencing the greatest percentage increase. However, some parts of the task are handled more fully than others; for instance, the details for agricultural products and gems and jewellery are slightly under-developed and contain minor inaccuracies regarding the exact figures. The overview is functional and captures the general trajectory of the data, yet extending the comparisons between categories more clearly would elevate the task response to a higher level.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The text maintains a coherent overall arrangement and follows a logical structure with a clear introduction, overview, and body paragraphs. Information is generally organized by product categories across the given years. Nevertheless, cohesion at times feels mechanical or repetitive, particularly in the transition phrases such as 'It can be clearly visible that' and 'In the end'. Referencing could also be managed more smoothly to avoid abrupt shifts between individual product descriptions, preventing the progression from feeling entirely seamless throughout the entire piece.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is adequate to communicate the main features of the visual data. The writer attempts less common vocabulary items like 'uplitment', 'noticiable', and 'dramatically', though some of these contain spelling errors or minor word-choice inaccuracies, such as 'hughly' instead of highly. While the lexical range allows for a basic discussion of economic trends and percentages, spelling slips and occasional awkward collocations prevent the response from achieving greater precision and flexibility.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The writing demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, effectively combining comparative structures with past-tense data reporting. There are some errors in grammar and punctuation, such as missing articles, preposition misusages like 'in the begining', and awkward verb phrases such as 'showed in a minor uplift'. However, these grammatical lapses rarely impede communication, and the meaning of the sentences remains clear to the reader throughout the essay.
