Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify several relevant changes, including the 3% rise in petroleum, the 15.24% rise in textiles, and the 5.18% fall in gems and jewellery. However, the response only partly summarises the visual: it gives few chart values and does not compare the export earnings themselves, such as petroleum remaining the largest category or textiles rising from about $26 billion to $31.5 billion. The claim that other countries required and liked the products is not shown by the data, and the broad statement about the economy becoming stronger is unsupported. The overview is therefore unclear and the main features are underdeveloped. The response is also 30 words below the required minimum; reaching 150 words would allow you to report and compare the key figures more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some organisation: you begin by introducing the chart, then mention several category changes, and finish with an overall comment. This gives the reader a basic sense of the topic. However, the ideas do not progress clearly from an overview to well-organised details, and several points run together, as in “The agricultural products not much increased only 0.81% goes up.” The transition “But except all one thing” is difficult to follow, while repeated references to increases make the sequence feel list-like rather than comparative. Separate the response into a short overview and a paragraph grouping the largest rises, the decline, and the relatively stable categories. Use clear links such as “by contrast” and “meanwhile” only where they accurately show relationships.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt relevant topic vocabulary, including “categories,” “increased,” “decreased,” and “percentage,” and the reader can recognise the general subject. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or misspelled choices make meaning difficult to follow: “experts” is used where “exports” is intended, and “experted” is repeated instead of a suitable verb such as “earned” or “exported.” Phrases such as “highest requirment in other countries” and “economy rate” do not describe the chart precisely. Spelling errors including “Petrolium,” “ecomony,” and “powerfull” also reduce clarity. Build a small set of accurate chart-reporting expressions and check spelling and word forms before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts both simple statements and longer sentences, but grammatical control is inconsistent, and errors often make relationships between ideas unclear. For example, “Some products are experted more in 2016 than 2015” lacks a clear, accurate sentence pattern, while “The agricultural products not much increased only 0.81% goes up” combines clauses without correct verb forms or punctuation. Tense and sentence structure are also problematic in “Overall information shows that the economy rate increased in 2016 than before 2015.” Several sentences run together, with missing spaces after full stops and commas. Practise accurate comparative forms (“rose by… compared with…”) and write one complete sentence for each comparison, checking verbs, articles, and punctuation.
