Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the chart’s subject and make an attempt at an overview, noting that petroleum earnings are high and textiles increase. However, the overview is unclear and includes inaccurate claims: petroleum exports did not stay the same, rising from about $61 billion to $63 billion, while textile earnings rose substantially from about $26 billion to $31.5 billion. The statement that textile exports are “same” conflicts with this trend. You also omit the important contrast that gems and jewellery declined, and give little account of engineered goods or agricultural products. The percentage figures are only partly reported, and the comparison of textile growth with agriculture is not clearly explained. Select the main rises and fall, then support them with accurate figures and a clear overview.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has paragraph breaks and a basic sequence: an introduction, an overview, chart details, and percentage information. This gives it some organisation. However, progression between ideas is weak, and the final two paragraphs repeat or confuse points rather than building a clear comparison. For example, the overview says textile exports are “same,” but the final paragraph says they increased by 15.24%. Linking expressions such as “Then” and “furthermore” do not always show the relationship between the data accurately. Group the main chart trends together, then report the percentage changes, using clear references and transitions such as “By contrast” for the decline in gems and jewellery.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-related vocabulary, including “exports,” “percentage,” “increased,” and category names, so the topic is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the meaning awkward, such as “percentage changed,” “export production,” and “goes 60 billions dollars.” Spelling errors, including “jewellary,” “bollions,” and “petrolium,” also reduce precision. Use standard chart language consistently: “export earnings,” “rose to,” “fell to,” and “percentage change.” Avoid repeating “very large” and “relatively low”; more precise comparisons would help you describe the data clearly and efficiently.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, but control is inconsistent. Errors in agreement and verb forms occur in examples such as “The bar chart illustrate” and “the exports … goes,” while sentence construction is faulty in “the percentage value compare in year 2016 with 2015 display.” Articles, plurals, and punctuation are also unreliable, as in “both year(2015,2016)” and the run-on “relatively same.the export.” These problems sometimes make relationships between figures difficult to follow. Practise accurate simple comparisons first, then combine them with clauses using “while” or “whereas.” Check subject–verb agreement, sentence boundaries, and consistent past-tense reporting before submitting.
