Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You identify several relevant features, including petroleum as the highest-earning category and textiles as a strong performer, and you mention the percentage increases for petroleum and engineered goods. However, the overview is unclear and some comparisons are inaccurate: gems and jewellery fell, but agricultural products did not go downward; their value rose slightly from about $31 billion to $31.5 billion. Textiles also increased substantially, from about $26 billion to $31.5 billion, rather than being described clearly in relation to the other categories. The response gives only a few figures and does not systematically summarise the chart and table. A clearer overview and accurate comparisons across the main rises, fall and stable category would make the report more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is an attempt to organise the response, beginning with an introduction and then moving to general observations and figures. However, the ideas are not arranged in a clear progression, and the paragraphing does not separate the overview from supporting details. Several statements are difficult to connect, such as “the most sold items it generate 62 billions” followed by “that item that will generate 31 billions.” Linking expressions such as “overall” and “in terms of” are used, but they do not consistently clarify how the points relate. Group the main trends first, then compare the categories with supporting figures, using clear references to each product. This would make the information easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The response uses some task-related vocabulary, including “exporting,” “generate,” “revenue,” “downward trend” and “demanding.” However, the range is basic and repetitive, and several word choices or spellings make the meaning difficult to interpret, for example “earning of export,” “most sold items” and “most demading item.” Some expressions are also unsuitable for describing chart values: “most demanding” appears to mean the category with the highest export earnings, while “export earnings” or “highest-valued category” would be more precise. Aim for accurate terms such as “rose,” “declined,” “remained stable” and “accounted for,” and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, but control is limited and errors frequently make relationships between ideas unclear. For example, “the petroleum products is generally the most exporting product” has subject–verb agreement and sentence-structure problems, while “they will earn more then 3% in last year” uses an unclear pronoun and an inappropriate tense. The response also has incomplete or run-on constructions, including the opening sentence and the final lines, where punctuation does not clearly separate ideas. Use past-tense reporting consistently for the 2015–2016 data, check singular and plural agreement, and build shorter complete sentences before attempting more complex comparisons. Accurate sentence boundaries would improve clarity.
