Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the main categories and note that petroleum products and engineered goods were the highest earners, while gems and jewellery declined and textiles rose most sharply. However, the overview is not consistently accurate: agricultural products were not among the lowest categories, and the claim that all categories remained stable overlooks the substantial rise in textiles. Some figures are also unclear or misrepresented, such as saying gems “was decrease” without clearly stating its 5.18% fall. The response is 131 words, 19 below the 150-word minimum; 27 words copied from the prompt were not counted. This shortfall, together with limited reporting of the chart’s values and comparisons, leaves the task only partially addressed. Include key figures and make the overall trends precise.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: an opening sentence is followed by an overview and comments on individual categories, with a concluding statement. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the categories are grouped unclearly and several ideas are compressed into long, awkward sentences. For example, the sentence beginning “In termis” combines agricultural products and textiles without clearly distinguishing their different values and changes. Linking phrases such as “Moreover,” “In termis,” and “In the conclution” do not always show the relationship between ideas accurately, and the conclusion largely repeats the overview. Use separate, logically ordered paragraphs for the overview and comparisons, and connect each category to its relevant figure.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is sufficient to identify the chart’s subject and basic trends, using terms such as “percentage,” “rise,” and “decrease.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts difficult to understand. Phrases such as “reach the peak export billion,” “rise dramaticaly,” and “the product export have rise” are not natural ways to describe the data. There are also repeated misspellings, including “betweet,” “jewellry,” and “agricultrual.” These errors sometimes obscure the intended comparison. Build a small set of accurate chart-reporting expressions, such as “export earnings,” “stood at,” “increased by,” and “recorded the largest rise,” and check spelling before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, but control is inconsistent, and errors frequently make relationships between ideas unclear. For example, “the petroleum and engineered product they reach” has faulty agreement and sentence structure, while “gems and jewellry was decrease” uses an incorrect verb form. The opening sentence also lacks a clear grammatical structure, and the final sentence, “the product export have rise,” contains errors in agreement and verb form. Punctuation and spacing around commas are also inconsistent. Practise forming accurate comparison sentences with a clear subject and verb—for example, “Textile earnings rose from $26 billion to $31.5 billion”—before adding more complex clauses.
