Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the chart and table, and your overview correctly notes that petroleum products were the highest category and textiles had the largest percentage increase, while agricultural products changed least. However, several key details are inaccurate or unclear: petroleum earnings were about $61 billion in 2015 and $63 billion in 2016, not $64 billion in 2016; textiles were not the lowest in 2016, as agricultural products and textiles were both about $31.5 billion. The comparison that agricultural products and textiles had similar sales is useful, but the figures and year-specific pattern need clearer reporting. You also mention the percentage changes without consistently explaining which values rose or fell. Select the main comparisons and report them accurately to make the summary more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and two paragraphs of detail. This helps the reader identify the purpose of each section. However, progression within the detail paragraphs is uneven, and some links between ideas are unclear. For example, “Furthermore, Agricultural products and textiles almost similar sales, but diffrence in 2015” does not clearly explain the comparison, while “The table variations in five category” does not smoothly introduce the figures that follow. Connectors such as “Moreover” and “as compared to” are used, but they do not always clarify the relationship between the data. Grouping the chart figures by increases, decreases, or similar values, and using clear references to each year, would make the organisation easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “bar chart,” “percentage,” “category,” and “respectively,” so the reader can generally recognise the subject. However, the range and control are limited, with repeated or imprecise expressions such as “the most recorded” and “the low one.” Several word-choice and spelling errors also reduce clarity, including “dollors,” “demostrates,” and “diffrence.” Phrases such as “importance of one country's export” do not accurately describe what the chart measures; it shows export earnings or values. Aim for precise terms such as “export earnings,” “rose,” “fell,” and “percentage change,” and check spelling and natural collocations. This would make the data description more direct and easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentence forms, including a comparison introduced by “while” and a sentence using “as compared to,” but control is inconsistent. Errors occur in basic sentence construction and agreement: “Agricultural products and textiles almost similar sales” lacks a verb, and “Engineered goods is higher” has a subject–verb agreement error. The opening also has an awkward structure in “measured in billion dollors, between 2015 and 2016,” and the parenthetical phrase “in (2016 and 2015 respectively)” is not integrated correctly. Punctuation and spacing around figures are inconsistent. Use complete subject–verb sentences, check singular and plural forms, and practise combining comparisons with accurate clauses. Greater control of these patterns would improve readability.
