Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

You identify the main overall pattern: earnings rose in most categories, while gems and jewellery declined, and you report the percentage changes for all five categories. The comparison of petroleum and engineered goods as the two highest earners is also relevant. However, some figures and comparisons need closer alignment with the chart. Petroleum earnings are described as nearly $65 billion in 2016, whereas the chart indicates about $63 billion. You also say agricultural products and textiles were the same in 2016, although their values were approximately $31.5 billion each; this is a reasonable approximation, but the wording should distinguish their different starting points and growth. A more precise overview of the highest and lowest values would make the key features better supported.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear four-part structure: introduction, overview, and two paragraphs grouping the categories. Its progression from the leading export earners to agriculture and textiles is easy to follow, and linking expressions such as “Moreover” and “Furthermore” help signal movement between points. This gives the report a coherent overall arrangement. Some connections are less precise, however: “Earnings from petroleum products were higher in both 2015 and 2016” does not clearly state that this category was the highest, and “the exports in agricultural products and the textiles were same” makes the comparison difficult to interpret. Use more exact references and connect each percentage change directly to the corresponding value trend to make cohesion more flexible and less reliant on formulaic transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use a suitable range of task-related vocabulary, including “export earnings,” “percentage,” “reduced,” “increased slightly,” and “significantly.” These choices communicate the main trends, and terms such as “highest difference” show an attempt to describe comparisons. However, several spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision: “bar graft,” “propotion,” “jwellary,” “petrolium,” and “sails” appear where “bar graph,” “proportion,” “jewellery,” “petroleum,” and “sales” are intended. Some collocations are also unnatural, such as “the percentage of it leveled up” and “income generated from it.” Aim for accurate, conventional reporting phrases such as “export value rose by” or “earnings from this category fell,” and proofread spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and more complex sentences, including contrast with “But compared to 2015” and a relative clause in “the percentage of the textiles leveled up significantly.” The meaning is generally recoverable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “export earnings in 2016 is higher” has a subject–verb agreement problem and an awkward comparison; “it nearly 32 billion” is missing a verb; and “the agricultural products and the textiles were same” needs an article or a different construction. Tense and comparison patterns also need attention in “increased in 2016 by 0.81%.” Practise complete sentence structures and consistent past-tense reporting, while checking agreement, articles, and the grammatical form after comparison phrases.
