Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You identify the chart’s general subject and report several relevant figures, including petroleum exports rising from about 61 to 63 and textiles increasing substantially. However, the response only partially summarises the main features: it does not clearly state that engineered goods were also among the highest earners, or that gems and jewellery was the only category to decline. Some figures and trends are misreported: textiles rose from about 26 to 31.5, not 25 to 31, and gems fell from about 43 to 41 rather than increasing “to 42.” The overview that products “are increase” is too general and inaccurate. Select the key contrasts and describe the direction of change accurately.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic paragraph structure, moving from an introduction to two groups of details and a concluding sentence. Linking phrases such as “On the other hand” and “To sum up” show an attempt to guide the reader. However, progression is not consistently clear: “From the bird eye view we can see two different tables” misidentifies the visual and does not establish a useful overview, while “On the other side” introduces details without a clear relationship to the previous paragraph. The final sentence repeats the general idea rather than synthesising the main trends. Organise the report around an overview followed by clear comparisons, and use linking expressions only when their relationship is accurate.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “exports,” “value,” “percentage,” and category names, so the topic is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms make the report less precise, such as “two different tables,” “bird eye view,” and “the remaining products are changed the percentage.” There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “catagories,” “produts,” and “expotrs.” Use standard chart language such as “bar chart,” “export earnings,” “rose,” “fell,” and “percentage change.” More precise vocabulary would help distinguish a value in billions from a percentage change and make comparisons easier to follow.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, for example, “On the other hand the textile have 15.24% that change the value,” but control is inconsistent. Subject–verb agreement errors occur in “The line chart illustrate” and “It compare,” while tense and sentence construction are also faulty in “the table compare the expotrs values.” Articles, plurals, and punctuation need attention; for instance, “the textile” and “two years. On” are not correctly formed or punctuated. These errors sometimes make relationships between figures difficult to understand. Practise accurate simple comparison sentences first, then combine them with clauses using “while” or “whereas,” checking agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries.
