Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You cover both the chart and the table, and your overview identifies the strongest rise in textiles and the decline in gems and jewellery. You also select relevant comparisons, including the near-stability of agricultural exports. This gives the response a clear account of the main patterns. Some details, however, are not accurate: petroleum is shown at about $63 billion in 2016, not $64 billion; engineered goods are about $62 billion, not $61 billion; and agriculture is about $31.5 billion, not $33 billion. The overview also says petroleum and engineered goods were the lowest at the beginning, although textiles were lowest. More precise reporting and a clearer ranking of the categories would strengthen the response.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, a paragraph describing the chart, and a final paragraph covering percentage changes. This makes the information generally easy to follow, and transitions such as “Overall” and “In contrast” help signal relationships. However, some connections are awkward or unclear. For example, “petroleum products and engineered goods was lowest in the beginning” is difficult to interpret, and the final paragraph lists table figures without consistently explaining how they relate to the chart. Commas and spacing are also inconsistent, which interrupts the flow. To improve, group related comparisons more deliberately and use linking phrases to show contrasts and similarities rather than relying mainly on a list of figures.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant task vocabulary, including “exports,” “categories,” “decline,” “increase,” and “growth,” and you attempt some variation with phrases such as “most notable growth” and “minor decline.” However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or repetitive, as in “made the highest growth,” “the highly changed came,” and “exported almost same.” Several spelling errors—such as “aricultural,” “catrgory,” and “adriculture”—also reduce precision. These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding the general trends, but they make the report less natural and sometimes obscure the intended comparison. Aim for standard chart-reporting phrases and check spelling carefully, especially for category names and key trend vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including the contrast introduced by “whereas” and the comparison “from 26 billions to 32 billions.” However, grammatical control is inconsistent, and errors occur in articles, agreement, tense, and sentence construction. For instance, “single country's exports” needs an article, “table represent” has incorrect subject–verb agreement, and “Gems and jewellery accounted 43 billion” is missing a necessary preposition. Some sentences also lack clear grammatical links, as in “In contrast adriculture products goes upto 0.81 %.” These errors sometimes make the reader pause, although the main meaning is usually recoverable. Focus on accurate sentence patterns and proofread agreement, articles, and prepositions.
