Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify several relevant features, including petroleum as the highest-earning category and textiles as the fastest-growing, and you give approximate figures for these. However, the overview is unclear and partly inaccurate: “Petroleum have high value which is less in export” contradicts the chart, where petroleum earnings are highest. The response also omits important comparisons, especially the fall in gems and jewellery from about $43 billion to $41 billion, and does not clearly report the 2016 values or changes for most categories. The table is only partly covered: you mention textiles, agriculture and engineered goods, but not petroleum or gems. To make the summary more complete, state the overall pattern accurately and select the main rises, the one decline, and the highest and lowest values.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall arrangement: an opening, a general statement, and separate discussion of the chart and table. This gives the reader a basic route through the information. However, progression is weakened by the unclear overview and by abrupt, incomplete reporting; for example, the final sentence lists three percentage changes without explaining how they compare. Linking words such as “Overall” and “Moreover” are used, but connections between ideas are sometimes mechanical or unclear. Paragraphing is also inconsistent, with large spaces and no clear separation of the overview from the details. Organise the response into a concise introduction, a clear overview, and two focused detail paragraphs, grouping related increases and the decline together.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “percentage,” “maximum,” “minimum,” and “value,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes obscuring meaning. For instance, “less in export” does not express the intended comparison, and “export in maximum quantity” confuses export earnings with quantity. There are also noticeable spelling errors in “engeenered,” “Agreculture,” and “engeenere,” as well as repeated use of “show.” Use precise terms such as “earnings,” “rose,” “fell,” and “accounted for,” and check spelling of category names. This would make comparisons clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and joined sentence forms, and the reader can usually identify the categories and years being discussed. However, grammatical errors are frequent and sometimes make relationships unclear. In the opening, “The chart given illustrate” has subject–verb disagreement, while “the table show” repeats this problem. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “during the year of 2015 and 2016” and “a specific years.” Some sentence boundaries and punctuation are missing, particularly where the overview runs directly into the next idea. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, singular and plural forms, and sentence punctuation. Short, controlled comparisons such as “Textile earnings rose from about $26 billion to $31.5 billion” would help you report data clearly.
