Student answer (Band 5.5)
The given bar graph shows the contribusion of diffrent products in country's economy in 2015 and 2016.However the table illustrate the possible change in percentage of export related to other goods in 2016 in comparison with 2015.Overall the petroleum products show highest contribusion and the lowest share is of textiles.Further more engeered goods express maximum change and agricultural products minimumly change. To begin with petroleum products that contribute up to 60 billion in 2015 and show a slight change in 2016.Next the engineered good remain same as previos one but slightly less in 2015.Then the jewellery items exported up to 40 billion in both years but a little less in 2016.Moreover the agricultural products provide 31 billion to economy in both years and the textile is somehow contributed similarly but a bit less in 2015.Secondly we disscus the percentage change in year 2016.So the petroleum increase 3% and the textile show maximum change of 15% and then the engineered goods raise 8.5% and lastly the only item which decreases is jewellery.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the main categories and include several relevant comparisons, such as petroleum products being the largest export and textiles showing the greatest percentage increase. However, the overview is not fully accurate: textiles were the lowest category in 2015, but in 2016 they were level with agricultural products, so they were not simply the lowest throughout. Some figures and trends are also unclear or incorrect. For example, engineered goods rose from about $57 billion to $62 billion rather than remaining the same, and gems and jewellery fell from about $43 billion to $41 billion rather than staying at $40 billion in both years. The response covers the task only partially because key comparisons are underdeveloped and some data are misreported.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic structure, moving from an introduction and overview to category details and then percentage changes. This gives the reader some organisation, and phrases such as “To begin with” and “Moreover” signal transitions. However, progression is not consistently clear: the discussion shifts between categories and years, and the final paragraph repeats some information without completing a systematic comparison. Linking expressions such as “Next,” “Then,” and “Secondly” are used mechanically, while “the same as previous one” has an unclear reference. Group the categories by their main patterns—for example, the highest earners, the declining category, and the strongest growth—and use clearer references to make the relationships between sentences easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “export,” “percentage change,” “contribute,” and “decreases,” and you attempt to describe trends rather than merely list categories. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, such as “contribusion,” “possible change,” “minimumly change,” and “provide 31 billion to economy.” Spelling errors, including “diffrent,” “engeered,” “previos,” and “disscus,” are noticeable and sometimes make the text less fluent to read. Aim for precise, conventional chart language, such as “export earnings,” “rose to,” “remained stable,” and “recorded the smallest increase.” Check spelling and use the correct form of words before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and linked sentences, but grammatical control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. For instance, “the petroleum products show highest contribusion” lacks an article before “highest,” while “the engineered good remain same” has problems with number, verb agreement, and sentence structure. The opening also runs two sentences together after “2016.However,” and several clauses are joined without clear punctuation. Tense and sentence patterns are not consistently controlled, as in “the textile is somehow contributed.” Practise forming complete comparison sentences with accurate subjects and verbs, and use full stops and commas to separate ideas. More reliable sentence construction would make your data easier to understand.
