Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You identify the main overall pattern: petroleum products are the highest-valued category, while textiles show the strongest growth, and gems and jewellery decline. You also include several relevant figures, such as petroleum at about 61 and 63 billion dollars and textiles’ 15.24% rise. However, some comparisons are incomplete or unclear. The overview calls textiles the least exporter, which is true for 2015 but not 2016, when textiles and agricultural products are both about 31.5 billion. The account also gives gems and jewellery as 45 in 2015 rather than approximately 43, and does not clearly report its 5.18% fall or engineered goods’ 8.5% rise. More precise coverage of the main changes would make the summary more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, moving from an introduction to an overview and then to details about the categories and percentage changes. This gives the reader a basic progression through the information. However, the final paragraph returns to figures without a clear comparison, and some links between ideas are abrupt: “whereas engineered goods” and “finally agricultural products and textiles” do not form complete, well-connected comparisons. Cohesive devices such as “Overall,” “In addition,” and “finally” are useful, but punctuation and spacing around them are inconsistent, and the overview’s reference to “most change” is not fully clear. Grouping the categories by their trends and using complete comparison sentences would improve the flow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant task vocabulary, including “exports,” “categories,” “percentage change,” “declined,” and “increment,” so the topic is generally understandable. There are also attempts at more formal reporting language. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, such as “least exporter,” “largest exported,” and “moderest exporter.” Spelling errors—including “Petrolem,” “texiles,” “germs,” and “increse”—also reduce precision. Use standard category names and phrases such as “highest export value,” “lowest-valued category,” and “recorded a decrease.” Greater accuracy with these expressions would make the description clearer and more natural while retaining the relevant range of vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast with “whereas” and a summary sentence beginning “Overall.” However, some sentence structures are faulty or incomplete. For example, “Petrolem is the was the largest exported” contains an incorrect verb sequence, while “finally agricultural products and textiles are the lowest goods exporter” lacks a clear grammatical comparison. There are also problems with articles and sentence boundaries, as in “while table represents change,” and several clauses are joined with full stops or commas inappropriately. These errors sometimes make the intended relationships harder to follow. Build accurate short comparison sentences first, then add subordinate clauses, checking verb forms, articles, agreement, and punctuation.
