Student answer (Band 5.0)

There is an outgoing debate about weather the environmental problem of our time should be the result is the loss of particular species of plants and animals. While some people say that environmental problem should be more important. In this essay, I will discuss both views and give my own opinion.

Those who support environmental problem caused loss of particular species of plants and animals because, environmental problem can damaged their environment and they cannot survived in the hash conditions. In the rapid urbanization, population of people grown alarming rate, and to fullfilled their home need, so they could cutted the forest and can converted into the society. A lost of plants species are lost in this ways and cannot reproduced as a result this species of plants can become a extincts species. While, animals can migrate into the new area because humans can breaks down of their home and killed and hunting the animals to earn a money. For example, many animals can extinct today because of hunting the animals and some animals become extinct nearer future like Hubarabustard, Indian tiger, Chitta an Dolphin.

On the other hand, many people believe that the environmental problem can caused problems. People can damage the environment by polluted the lakes, oceans and land marked. Industrial waste can be discharged in the rivers in the form of liquid and this conatins a harmful bacteria and effected the marian life. Industries can effected the environment in the form of smoke and this caused serval diseased and harmful for animals and human.

In conclusion, enviromental problem effected both animals and plants and our environment. In my opinion, Government can take measured step in the industrial companies and prevent our environments, human beings, animals and plants.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both views by discussing species loss and pollution, and your conclusion gives a position: governments should take steps to protect the environment. However, the response only partially develops the task. The first view receives more explanation, including habitat destruction and hunting, while the alternative view is mainly a list of pollution effects. The examples of “Hubarabustard, Indian tiger, Chitta an Dolphin” are difficult to interpret and are not explained, so they provide limited support. Your opening also says “some people say that environmental problem should be more important,” which does not clearly identify the other view. State the competing position precisely and develop each side with a clear reason and a relevant, explained example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the broad direction of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear, and several links are inaccurate or repetitive. For example, “While some people say that environmental problem should be more important” does not clearly connect the two positions, and the first body paragraph moves from urbanisation to species loss and hunting without consistently showing how each point relates. The repeated use of “can” also makes the explanation feel list-like. Use clearer topic sentences, then organise each paragraph around one main claim followed by its explanation and example; use linking phrases only where they express the relationship accurately.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “rapid urbanization,” “industrial waste,” “polluted,” and “extinct species.” These choices show awareness of the subject, but the range is limited and inaccurate word forms, spelling, and collocations often make meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “outgoing debate” for an ongoing debate, “hash conditions,” “a lost of plants species,” and “marian life.” Some phrases, such as “environmental problem can caused problems,” are too vague to communicate a precise idea. Build a reliable set of topic-specific expressions and check spelling and natural word combinations. For instance, describe habitat destruction, species becoming extinct, and waste being discharged into rivers rather than relying on repeated general terms such as “problem” and “environment.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including explanations with “because” and “as a result,” but complex structures are often faulty and errors occur frequently. Verb forms and agreement are recurring problems: “population of people grown,” “they cannot survived,” and “Industries can effected” do not form correct clauses. Sentence construction is also unclear in “to fullfilled their home need, so they could cutted the forest,” where the purpose clause and main clause do not connect correctly. Articles, plurals, and punctuation also need attention. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add one subordinate clause at a time. Check that modal verbs take the base form, and that each sentence has a clear subject and finite verb.
