Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both views and state a preference in “I support this statement,” later arguing that global warming and vehicle pollution are more serious than species loss. However, the position is not consistently clear: the opening says “I believe that in past but other major things are also important,” which does not explain your view, and the conclusion shifts between past species loss and current problems without clearly restating the comparison. Relevant points—pollution’s effects on species and the risks of global warming—are introduced, but they are not explained with specific reasons or examples. Develop each side with a clear cause-and-effect explanation, then support your opinion with a concrete example. The response meets the stated length requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an identifiable structure: an introduction, paragraphs beginning “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” a further paragraph, and a conclusion. These markers help readers recognise the two sides. However, progression within and between paragraphs is often unclear. The paragraph beginning “Moreover, Although plant animal and species…” repeats earlier points rather than advancing the argument, and the relationship between ideas in “Rather then people should not take serious” is difficult to follow. Linking words such as “Moreover,” “Although,” and “However” are sometimes used without a clear logical connection. Organise the essay into a focused paragraph for each view and a conclusion, and make each sentence explain or support the paragraph’s main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “atmospheric pollution,” “food chain,” “global warming,” and “vehicle pollution,” so the subject is recognisable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning unclear, such as “at his loss situation,” “not focusly treated,” and “drastic situation will face out.” Spelling errors—including “enviromental,” “draught,” “environmenrt,” and “seveiour”—also reduce accuracy. Aim to use familiar environmental terms precisely rather than attempting phrases whose meaning is uncertain. Build a small set of accurate expressions for causes, consequences, and comparisons, and check spelling and word forms during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer structures, including “Not only this but also these things effect our food chain” and a sentence beginning “Although plant animal and species…”. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make several ideas difficult to understand. For example, “many atmospheric pollution created by human” lacks a clear verb structure, while “there have been drastic situation will face out in future” combines incompatible verb forms. There are also problems with agreement and sentence construction, as in “different group of people are said.” Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then connect them with one clear subordinate clause. Check subject–verb agreement, articles, and consistent verb forms when editing.
