Student answer (Band 6.0)
Where environmental sustainability is discussed there is lots of others things also discussed globally and Nowadays environmental problems are also a very big issue. Well not only loss of particular species of plants and animals however i firmly believe that there is also lots pf other more important environmental problems like pollution.
In today's rapidly changing world Loss of plants and animals of particular species is frequently a debate while some argue that it is not human hand to grow them again but we can just protect by caring them. for example if some one even cant survive if he has polluted water how can he protects animals and plants if there is not water and clean air. Therefore, before that wo should focus on how to clean water.
Secondly, by working on water pollution and shortages with air pollution can give us better environment in which every kind of animal species and plants species can survive. for instance a living being having all kind of good environment can protect every one and cant be dependent on others. consequently a clean water comes from hilly areas. it is the natures cycle that when plants cuts off weather changes in extreme heat and water evaporates and it changes into clouds. clouds gives us the rain which is pure water.
In conclusion although alternatively vocational path suit certain individuals, the enduring benefits of water and air can not be overlooked. Therefore I strongly agree that more important environment problem is water and air pollution .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited. The argument regarding water and air pollution is relevant, but the explanation of how this relates to species loss is somewhat circular and lacks depth. The conclusion introduces an irrelevant point about 'vocational paths,' which is completely off-topic and suggests a lack of focus. To improve, ensure that every paragraph directly supports the prompt and provides concrete, logical examples rather than general statements about nature's cycles.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the flow of ideas is often disjointed. While cohesive devices like 'Secondly' and 'Consequently' are used, they are sometimes applied incorrectly or do not logically connect the preceding and following sentences. For example, the transition to the conclusion is abrupt and contains a non-sequitur regarding vocational training. Referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of the argument. Improving the logical link between sentences and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, often relying on basic phrasing such as 'big issue' and 'good environment.' There are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'it is not human hand to grow them again' and 'protect by caring them.' The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas with precision. To reach a higher band, you should work on using more academic collocations and precise terminology related to environmental science, such as 'biodiversity,' 'ecosystem degradation,' or 'mitigation strategies.'
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('clouds gives us'), article usage ('a clean water'), and sentence structure (e.g., 'if some one even cant survive if he has polluted water how can he protects animals'). The range of structures is limited, with a heavy reliance on simple sentences. Complex structures are attempted but are often faulty, leading to confusion. Focusing on basic sentence construction, punctuation, and consistent verb tense usage will help improve the clarity and accuracy of your writing.
