Some people believe that the main problem with nature is losing particular species of plants and animal. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both views and provides a personal opinion, but the development is limited. The arguments regarding species loss focus heavily on commercial products like leather, which is a narrow interpretation of the environmental issue. The second viewpoint regarding global warming and pollution is mentioned but lacks depth and specific examples. The essay structure is somewhat disjointed, and the conclusion does not effectively synthesize the arguments presented. To improve, you should expand on the broader ecological consequences of species loss and provide more robust, academic reasoning for the competing environmental problems.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression between ideas is weak. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often mechanical or misused, such as 'Thus, discussed in this essay' and 'Other says that'. The referencing is sometimes unclear, and the transition between the two viewpoints is abrupt. The conclusion is repetitive and does not clearly summarize the main points of the essay. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly enhance the flow and coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. There are several instances of word-choice errors and non-standard collocations, such as 'natural organinsms', 'natural vegitation', and 'drafting some expensive products'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas precisely. You rely on basic terms and struggle with accurate terminology related to environmental science. To achieve a higher band, you should work on learning topic-specific vocabulary and collocations, and focus on using words in their correct context to avoid confusion.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('Other says', 'many people faces'), article usage, and sentence structure. Complex sentence attempts are often faulty or incomplete, such as 'Thus, discussed in this essay.' Punctuation is also inconsistent. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and proofreading for common errors.
