Student answer (Band 5.0)
During modernisation there is a big loss of species and plants whereas a segment if society also deem it but, another says that there are more important environmental problems. This essay would intends to elaborate both views along with my opinion in upcomig paragraph.
To embark with former perspective that losses of particular species of plants and animals are main environmental issues, as comparing to past there was alot of species of plants from which lot of medicines are make known as ayurvedic, but in real time they got disappear this is was because to built buldings individuals are destroying forests as well as in which many beneficial plants for health also gets destroyed. For example, palm tree is useful for human body health but this spiece is not now available on many places. Whereas, animals get instincted due to less food or not getting care about themselves.
Moving towards, to latter view another main environmental issues are changing in climate as well as increase in pollution by which humans are facing many big problems. To decipher it, cutting down forests brings reduction in oxygen as well as forests also helps to cool down temperature of earth by heat and sun-rays of sun directly attacks to human body and heart attacks rate gets increased. Although, incline in pollution also affects the humans digestive system or mind, increase in pollution is because of incline in moter vehicles and cutting down trees. So, this is also a big environmental issue.
To hammer the last nail, it is scrutinized from above discussion that i believe that latter view have an edge over former perspective because getting climate clear and reduce in temperature is essential for humans to live on earth.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The essay addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. While the first body paragraph attempts to discuss the loss of species, the arguments are somewhat disjointed and rely on vague examples like 'palm tree' and 'ayurvedic' medicines without clear logical progression. The second body paragraph focuses on climate change and pollution, but the link between these and the prompt's core debate is occasionally tenuous. The position is stated in the introduction and reinforced in the conclusion, but the supporting arguments lack the depth and precision required for a higher band score. The response is relevant but remains somewhat superficial in its analysis.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical flow is frequently interrupted by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. Phrases like 'To embark with former perspective' and 'To hammer the last nail' are unnatural and do not function effectively as cohesive devices. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the connection between 'cutting down forests' and 'heart attacks' is abrupt and lacks a smooth transition. While there is an attempt to use linking words, they are often misused or placed incorrectly, which hinders the overall progression of ideas. Paragraphing is present but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary range is limited and often inaccurate. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'get instincted' (instead of 'extinct'), 'incline in pollution' (instead of 'increase'), and 'real time' (used incorrectly to mean 'currently'). The student relies on basic vocabulary and struggles to express complex ideas with precision. Collocations are frequently unnatural, such as 'medicines are make known'. While the meaning is generally understandable, the lack of control over word choice and the frequent errors in spelling and collocation significantly limit the score in this criterion.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors that often impede readability. There are persistent issues with subject-verb agreement ('this spiece is not now available'), tense usage ('medicines are make known'), and sentence structure ('This essay would intends to'). Complex sentence structures are attempted but are almost always faulty, leading to confusion. Simple sentences are more frequent, but even these contain errors in articles and prepositions. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. The lack of control over basic grammatical structures prevents the essay from reaching a higher band, as the errors are pervasive throughout the text.
