Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is often argued that, in our time the major environment challenge is the extinction of specific species of plants and creatures. While others believe that there are greater surroundings problems. Although both perspectives have their own demeits, I believe that main dillema is about the destruction of some exact species because it directly affects on animal life cycle.

On the one hand, many people believe that, the loss of particular life subspecies and livestock is the main environmental problem. This is because it plays an important role in ecosystem life cycle and main it properly. For example if one of the breed or animal extinct in biological clock that time every species suffer from this destruction. Therefore many dependent communities of animals are vanished in short time.

On the other hand, some people argue that, environmental concerns such as global warming, pollution and less availability of water these are much more important compared to survival of wildlife. The main reason is that these challenges are increasing day by day and it dangerous for humans. For instance many humans and animals die every year due to the fewer water and pollution indirectly affects in humans internal organs. While this argument is understandable, I believe that distinction of perticular species is the main environmental issue because once the speices gone entirely, it cannot be recovered.

In conclusion, although both views have their own disadvantages, I believe that it is environmental problems like fewer water, contamination and climate change is restore taking proper steps but it is very difficult to revive one of the extinct animalas or species.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The essay addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal position. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation of why species extinction is the 'main' problem is repetitive and lacks depth, relying on general statements like 'it plays an important role in ecosystem life cycle'. The counter-argument regarding global warming and pollution is better supported, but the overall analysis remains superficial. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific examples or logical chains of reasoning to justify why one environmental issue is more critical than another, rather than simply stating that it is 'difficult to recover' from extinction.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' to signal shifts in the argument. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as 'main it properly' or 'these are much more important'. Additionally, there are instances where referencing is unclear, such as 'these challenges' referring back to a list of problems that were not fully integrated into the sentence structure. Improving the flow between sentences would enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward word choices and incorrect collocations, such as 'creatures' instead of 'animals', 'demeits' (spelling error), 'main dillema' (spelling error), and 'fewer water' instead of 'water scarcity'. You also struggle with word forms, such as 'distinction' instead of 'extinction' and 'animalas'. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequent errors in spelling and word choice prevent the vocabulary from being considered 'sufficiently flexible' for a higher score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('it directly affects on animal life cycle'), article usage ('the destruction of some exact species'), and sentence construction ('pollution and less availability of water these are much more important'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary commas appearing frequently. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent and occur in both simple and complex sentences, which limits the score for grammatical accuracy.
