Student answer (Band 5.0)

Most of individual told that the main environment problem of our time was the loss of species of plants and animals. While some people say that the environment problems are the main problems. This essay will contain both views, including my opinion also in upcoming paragraph.

To commence with the statement, the shortage of particular species of plants and animals are the main concern of environmental problems. To examine it if the one species is missed so the whole chain would beak. For example we suggest the frog is missed form the food chain so the snake will get died because of hunger and if snake is not available so the eagle also died.

On the other hand the main problem was the environment problem.t TO examine it environment problem is of many types like air pollution or noise pollution. For example in the cities there are more that polluting air. noise pollution is from the speaker or the noise of pollution with high volumes. Some more environment problems are there like cutting of trees as we seen -the Aaravalli hills cutting down in 2026 to make road. Because of this the wild habitate is also in danger.

in conclusion both the view are main concern of environmental problem.

in my opinion the both statement are true because both are the very main for environment. we have to save them or grow more and more trees to get fresh air or to save wildlife habitate.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which negatively impacts the task achievement score. While the essay attempts to address both views and provide an opinion, the development of ideas is superficial and lacks depth. The arguments regarding species loss and general pollution are repetitive and lack sufficient supporting evidence or logical expansion. The position is stated but not clearly sustained throughout the essay. To improve, you must expand your arguments with more detailed examples and ensure the response meets the minimum length requirement to allow for a full exploration of the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is often disjointed. The use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inaccurate, such as the repetitive use of 'To examine it' or 'For example'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of arguments. Paragraphing is present but the internal structure of the paragraphs is weak, with sentences often lacking logical connection to one another. Improving the use of transition words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive, relying on basic terms like 'problem', 'main', and 'environment'. There are noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'the snake will get died' and 'wild habitate'. These errors occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas precisely. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use a wider variety of topic-specific vocabulary and focus on correct collocations, such as 'biodiversity loss' instead of 'shortage of species' and 'natural habitat' instead of 'wild habitate'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay displays a limited range of grammatical structures, with a heavy reliance on simple sentences. There are frequent errors in grammar, including subject-verb agreement ('the shortage... are'), tense usage ('the snake will get died'), and article usage. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing capital letters and improper sentence boundaries. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors makes the text difficult to read at times. You should focus on mastering basic sentence structures and proofreading for common errors like verb forms and pluralization before attempting more complex grammatical constructions.
