Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is limited. For example, the explanation of why species loss is a major threat is brief and relies on simple examples like dinosaurs. The discussion of alternative environmental problems is also somewhat superficial, focusing on general pollution without deep analysis. To improve, you should expand on your arguments with more specific evidence or logical reasoning. While the prompt is addressed, the depth of the response is closer to the Band 5 level, as the ideas are presented but not fully extended or supported with sufficient detail.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For instance, the phrase 'Firstly, let's take first opinion which of states that' is grammatically awkward and disrupts the flow. Transitions between sentences are sometimes abrupt, such as the jump from discussing species loss to the mention of dinosaurs. While there is a logical progression, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the occasional misuse of referencing make the cohesion feel somewhat repetitive and forced. Improving the variety of transition signals would significantly enhance the readability.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. You use basic terms like 'main reason', 'big problem', and 'unnecessary infrastructure'. There are also several word-choice errors, such as 'process of particular animals' (likely meaning 'extinction') and 'cut vanishing greenery' (which is confusing). Spelling errors like 'dinasours' and 'researehers' also occur. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise academic vocabulary and collocations, such as 'biodiversity loss' instead of 'loss of particular kinds of plants and animals', and ensure that your word choices accurately reflect the intended meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'it people function' (should be 'its people'), 'When any of living organism to tally vanish' (incorrect verb form and article usage), and 'the authorities should have to place'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some sentences ending abruptly or missing necessary commas. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and correct article usage would be a good starting point.
