Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both views regarding environmental problems, but the development is inconsistent. While you mention the importance of biodiversity and contrast it with pollution, the arguments are somewhat superficial. For instance, the explanation of why species loss is a problem is brief, and the discussion on pollution lacks depth. Your own opinion is mentioned in the introduction but is not clearly sustained or fully integrated into the conclusion. To improve, ensure each body paragraph has a clear topic sentence and provides more detailed, logical support for your claims rather than listing general points.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'To put nut in shell' and 'my pen down saying'. These phrases are not standard English and hinder the flow. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the transition between ideas feels abrupt. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') more naturally and ensure that each sentence logically follows the previous one.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often imprecise. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'conversation ways' instead of 'conservation methods' and 'extinct' used as a noun instead of 'extinction'. Phrases like 'increase their capital of company' and 'dried property' are awkward and make the meaning difficult to follow. While you attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary, the lack of precision and frequent errors in collocation suggest a need to focus on learning words in context rather than in isolation.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Plants and animals helps'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple or contain fragments, and the attempt at complex structures often results in errors (e.g., 'that only man-made causes that effect to the environment'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary spaces before commas. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would significantly improve your score.
