Student answer (Band 5.0)
This topic about our social arguments. Some people belived we face environmental problem because the loss of plants and animals.Others says there are also other problem for that. In my opinion the loss of plants and animals are major issuse in our world.
Some people says if we face big problems than we are all responsible for it. They say its our own mistakes. They think if we didnot cut the tress than now we are safe.First we cuts the trees for our own benefit and why we are crying on it. People do prey the animals for their own benefits. Now we face the shortage of these animals. For example when a species was killed than others species eat it .But now eagle is no more people face many problems like smell from their suurrondings.
Others peoples belived that there is another reason for that. They think the main cause of environmental issues is that garbage and industrial waste. They say people throw their garbage where they want. They say industries bulit near the populated areas that is why people face environmental issueses. The main reason of environmental issueses is lots of traffic issueses.People drive their car for small work.
In my opinion both are right but loss of plants and animals are big cocern. Because plants help to maintain the temperature. If temperature is not maintained than people face many problems like flood in urban years which destroy lots of thing. So we should need to grow plants to ovoid from big problems.
In conclusion we need to grow plants to avoid from big problems. And we also need to help animals stay healthy.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited and often repetitive. For instance, the argument regarding the loss of species is supported by a somewhat confusing example about eagles and smells, which lacks clarity and logical depth. The second viewpoint regarding industrial waste and traffic is mentioned but not fully explored or linked back to the core debate effectively. While the task requirements are met, the ideas remain at a surface level, and the supporting evidence is not sufficiently detailed to reach a higher band. To improve, you should focus on expanding your arguments with more logical, real-world examples and ensuring each paragraph contributes directly to the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inaccurate. Phrases like 'First we cuts the trees' and 'In conclusion we need to grow plants' are used to signal transitions, but the internal flow between sentences is often disjointed. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the sentence 'For example when a species was killed than others species eat it', where the connection to the previous point is weak. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence flows logically from the previous one will significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, often relying on basic terms like 'big problems', 'good', or 'things'. There are several instances of word-choice errors and non-standard collocations, such as 'people do prey the animals' (likely meaning 'prey on') and 'avoid from big problems' (incorrect preposition usage). Spelling errors are also frequent, such as 'belived', 'issuse', 'tress', and 'suurrondings'. While the meaning is generally understandable, the range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas with precision. You should focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to the environment and practicing correct word forms and collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. While there are attempts at complex sentences, they are frequently marred by grammatical errors, such as 'If temperature is not maintained than people face many problems'. Subject-verb agreement is inconsistent ('Some people says', 'others species eat it'), and there are persistent issues with articles and verb tenses. Punctuation is also problematic, with missing spaces after periods and commas. To improve, you need to focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles, before attempting more complex structures. Consistent proofreading for basic errors would also be highly beneficial.
