Some people say that there is only one main environmental problem of our time is loss of particular species of plants and animals. Others say that there are several more important environmental problems. This essay is going to discuss both these views.
on one hand, the main environmental problem was extinction of different species of plants and animals from the earth. The main reason for this loss was deforestation, where many people cutting trees for their needs usually for cooking, born fires at night to prevent from cold. Moreover, this will be huge impact on animals' life creating difficulty for living and hunting food. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both views and provides an opinion, but the development is insufficient. The essay is under the 250-word minimum, which limits the depth of the arguments. The discussion of biodiversity loss is somewhat repetitive, focusing heavily on deforestation, and the second body paragraph lists problems like 'air pollution' and 'global warming' without explaining why they might be considered more important than species loss. The opinion is stated but lacks supporting evidence or a clear link to the preceding arguments. The conclusion is incomplete, ending abruptly mid-sentence, which further impacts the task completion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay uses basic cohesive devices such as 'on one hand' and 'on the other hand', which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the paragraphing is inconsistent, and the flow of ideas is frequently interrupted by grammatical errors and awkward phrasing. The transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs is mechanical. The final paragraph is incomplete, which disrupts the overall coherence of the response. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the sentence 'these problems cause by the people itself', where the connection to the previous ideas is slightly disjointed.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. There are several instances of imprecise word choice, such as 'human begins' instead of 'human beings' and 'born fires' instead of 'bonfires'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas effectively. Phrases like 'huge impact on animals' life' and 'raise in increase of greenhouse gases' are awkward and demonstrate a lack of control over collocations. While the meaning is generally understandable, the lack of variety and the frequent errors in word formation prevent a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('they increases', 'problems also increased'), tense usage ('the main environmental problem was extinction'), and sentence structure (run-on sentences and fragments). The use of complex structures is limited and often results in errors, such as 'we should be take care of our environment by taking mes'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing capital letters at the start of sentences and incorrect comma usage. The majority of sentences contain errors, which is characteristic of the 5.0 band level.
