Student answer (Band 5.0)

In today's rapidly changing world, the issue of environmental problem has sparked considerable debate. there are those who strongly support the idea that to loss of particular species of plants and animals, while others are equally convinced that there are other important problems, this is the better perspective. This essay will explore both side of the argument and conclude with my own opinion on which viewpoint holds greater merits.

Supporter of the view that crucial problem of this time is losing different species of animals as well as plant believe that because it has several valid reasons, such as because of increasing temperature of the earth day by day effect on the life of the creature who live in mountains where glacier are getting melted this cause to ice bear, snow leopard, many other animals who lives in mountains. plants like baobab tree which found in Africa, nowadays there are very rare to found now. Firstly all this is happening because of humans activity where they are cutting down tree the source of water reducing day by day. Furthermore government should conduct awareness programs where it may reduce this types of immoral things from humans. Many people find this approach practical and logical. As a result, this line of thinking continues to gain support among those who value these aspects.

Conversely, other are of the opinion that losing only plant and animals are not the the main there are several major problems in environment, and they provide convincing arguments. To begin with, polluting the river with wastage material where it is happening because lack of proper management. In other context deforestation, emission, industrialization, production of harmful gas that directly effect to ozone layer. This types of activity are pushing our world to dangers. Which makes it appealing to a significant portion of society.

In conclusion, both viewpoints offer valuable insights into topic, and each has its own strength. However, after carefully considering bot arguments, i fairly believe that side b is the main for environment issues, as it provide a more pragmatic and relevant facts.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views—that the loss of specific species is the main environmental problem, and that other issues are more important—while providing a personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of ideas is limited and often repetitive. Sentences such as 'supporter of the view that crucial problem of this time is losing different species...' attempt to explain reasons, but they lack clear supporting details and logical elaboration. Examples like the baobab tree are mentioned, but the explanation becomes tangled. The position is stated, but the arguments remain somewhat under-developed, aligning best with a Band 5 or 6.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into four standard paragraphs, providing an overall structure. However, logical progression is frequently disrupted by poor sentence construction and a lack of clear cohesive devices. Cohesive links are often repetitive or misused, such as 'Firstly all this is happening...' and 'In other context...'. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion within the body paragraphs is quite weak, resulting in a disjointed flow where ideas do not smoothly connect. Referencing is also confusing at times, such as 'side b' in the conclusion. This performance reflects Band 5.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is relatively basic and repetitive, with frequent word-formation and collocation errors (e.g., 'to loss of particular species', 'ice bear', 'rare to found now', 'wastage material'). The writer attempts some less common terms like 'industrialization' and 'pragmatic', but the lexical control is weak throughout. There are numerous inaccuracies in word choice that occasionally strain the reader's understanding. Overall, the lexical resource is limited and minimally adequate, fitting the Band 5 descriptor.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The text displays a very limited range of grammatical structures. Most complex sentence attempts are severely flawed by heavy punctuation errors, run-on sentences, and severe structural mistakes (e.g., 'there are those who strongly support the idea that to loss of particular species..., while others are equally convinced that there are other important problems, this is the better perspective'). Errors in verb tenses, subject-verb agreement, and clause structures are very frequent (e.g., 'who lives in mountains', 'which directly effect to ozone layer'). These frequent errors frequently cause difficulty for the reader.
