Student answer (Band 5.0)
Individuals say that the main environmental problem is to loss of some species of plant and animals.other says that there are more important environmental problems.
it is true that there are many animals and plants are loss in our environment.Plants give us the oxygen and clear our enviornemnt with pollution. If these are vanished our automosaphare must become more polluted. But it does not means that we neglicated other environement issues and just focus on this issues.
Put anotherway we aslo face many issues about our environment here, i discuss some issues like cleaness ,clean water and polluted air. These are major and basic problems of our society which is effected our heath. These are important issues so government should focus on this issue rathar then other issues.
As we know that in big city so crowded ans also huge trafic issue the numbers of vehicals are on the road which is create atmoshper nosiey and polluted.its impact in our health many health issues are accure due to smoke.Government should pay attention in this issue they should produced a vehicals which can drive without petrol and gass like electric vehicals.if they took these steps and spends their fund on this technology it give the positive result in our atmospher
Other major issue is cleaness of our living area.its depend on both citezen of society and municipal of this area. They should focus to clean the street and through the grabage in dustbins and athourties place the bins in every street and society.Water cleaness is also major issue in our environment governemnt should give attention to this issue to install the filter plant in every society.
From my prespective, these issue are major issue so we focus on this issue which is necessary for our environemnt rather then we focus to discover the loss species of plant and animals.
To sum up, we just focus our basic need and basic problems.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The student attempts to address all parts of the prompt, discussing both the loss of species and other environmental problems, followed by a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the discussion on other environmental problems centers heavily on basic amenities like cleanliness, clean water, and traffic without deep exploration or robust supporting examples. The position is stated, but the arguments lack extension and tend to over-generalise. When compared against the official band descriptors, this performance aligns closely with Band 5, as the task is addressed, but the ideas are underdeveloped and the arguments lack sufficient elaboration.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the overall logical progression is frequently disrupted by awkward transitions and poor sentence linking. Phrases like 'Put anotherway' and 'From my prespective' show attempts at cohesion, but cohesive devices are often mechanical, inaccurate, or missing entirely. Paragraphing is attempted, but ideas within paragraphs are not always logically grouped or sequenced smoothly, leading to a disjointed reading experience. For example, the transition from general pollution to specific issues like vehicle traffic and garbage disposal feels abrupt. This meets the criteria for Band 5, where there is some organization but a lack of overall clear progression and inadequate use of cohesive devices.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is relatively basic and repetitive, with frequent errors in word choice and spelling (e.g., 'automosaphare', 'neglicated', 'accure', 'citezen', 'athourties'). There are attempts to use less common items such as 'atmosphere' and 'municipal', but these are undermined by inaccurate spelling and incorrect collocation, such as 'cleaness' instead of cleanliness or 'water cleaness'. The range is minimally adequate for the task, but noticeable lexical errors cause some difficulty for the reader and restrict the score to Band 5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The essay demonstrates a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and prone to frequent errors in complex structures. There are persistent errors in subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'other says', 'these is effected'), punctuation, and article usage. Sentences such as 'these are major and basic problems of our society which is effected our heath' highlight a lack of control over grammatical accuracy. Errors occur frequently and often cause strain for the reader, matching the descriptor for Band 4, though occasional glimpses of basic control prevent a lower score.
