Student answer (Band 5.0)
Enviromental problem is the increansingly common in this generation.. Enviromental problem is the growing concern across the globe. For instance, Numerous scientist are researching the cause of enviroment problems. While other argue that there are much more important problems such as climate change and deforestation. In my opinion, I strongly agree with this view because the increasing unmanaged urbanization is the main cause of the loss of species and Forest fire is also one of the major factor which is causing this problem.
On the one hand, The main reason why i support this view is that most of the endangered species are in about to disappear due to the growing urbanization.
Trees are chopped down and this affects loss of habitat of various animals and
due to the effects of global warming forest fire occours every year. For example, In my country Nepal which is coverd by around 40% of forest expirenced forest fire every year which adverse effect on enviroment.
On the other hand, Goverment regulation also plays an significant role in this problem. Goverment should make proper rules and regular for the citizens who hampers endangered plants and animals.Although, there are many rules for this problems. For example, if someone caught during such crime like smuggling of rare animals which could be horn or teeth. he/she would fined and face lifetime in the prision.
In conclusion, there are many problems related to other enviromental problems, I will stood up against the loss of our endangered plants and animals. Rare species of plants are benefictial to those seniour citizens who beleives in homopathic medicines.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—that the loss of specific species is the main environmental problem, and that other problems like climate change and deforestation are more important—while providing a personal opinion. However, the ideas are somewhat repetitively expressed and lack full, sophisticated development. For instance, the student mentions urbanisation and forest fires in Nepal, but the arguments remain rather general and underdeveloped. The position is stated, but the support lacks depth and extension, aligning best with Band 6 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay displays an overall coherent arrangement with basic paragraphing, separating the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. However, cohesion is frequently faulty and mechanical. The student attempts to use transition phrases such as 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand', but referencing and logical progression are often hindered by awkward linking. For example, sentences like 'On the other hand, Goverment regulation also plays an significant role in this problem' disrupt the logical flow of discussing environmental threats. Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion requires better management, placing this performance at Band 5.5.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The lexical resource is limited and adequate only for basic communication. The student attempts some less common vocabulary such as 'urbanisation', 'endangered species', and 'homopathic medicines', but these are offset by frequent spelling and word-choice errors, such as 'increansingly', 'enviroment', 'occours', 'coverd', 'expirenced', 'regular' instead of 'regulations', 'hampers', and 'benefictial'. Furthermore, there are repetitive uses of simple terms like 'problem' and 'environmental'. These noticeable errors place the lexical control at Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as 'While other argue that there are much more important problems such as climate change and deforestation.' However, there is a high frequency of grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('Numerous scientist are', 'forest fire occours'), article misuse ('plays an significant role'), and awkward phrasing ('if someone caught during such crime'). Punctuation and capitalization are also inconsistent. Because these errors frequently cause difficulty for the reader and impede smooth reading, the grammar score is Band 5.0.
