Student answer (Band 5.5)
In today's rapidly advancing world, people hold different views regarding environmental issues. Some people believe that major environmental problem at this time to extinction of varieties of plants and wildlife. While, others argue that other major challenges are also in our surrounding like pollution and climate chages. In my point of view, shortfall of plants and animal is big issues in our surrounding.
On the one hand, plant life play a crucial role in human life. Firstly, all the natural products and medicines come from greenery. Most of the mediciens used for obesity, heart patient and regulate immune system. For example, plants are completely vanished that could be effected for other some creatures. Secondly, animals such as cows and goats are very essential in persons life. For healthy life style indivisuals are used milk get from the cows and also use meat to survive in their life.
Moreover, other small creatures kill some animal and used as their food. For example, in the forest lion eat deer if they and other are completely declind they break down the food chain they would be more effected.
On the other hand, human also face some other problems just like pollution are rapidly increase in the atmosphere. Impurities in the atmosphere are direct and immediate impact on the human health. That is also biggest challenges in our nearby.
In conclusion, indivisulas faced more difficulties in their society but in my opinion main challenges to declined the plants and animals which are effected in our immune system and also effect on our health.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both views on whether the loss of species is the main environmental problem and provides a clear personal opinion. The student attempts to develop ideas regarding the importance of plants and animals to human life, mentioning medicinal uses and the food chain. However, these ideas are somewhat limited and repetitive, and the arguments lack deep extension. For instance, the point about lions and deer is abrupt and lacks full contextual integration. While all parts of the prompt are addressed, the development tends to be basic, which aligns closely with Band 6 descriptors. The position is stated clearly in the introduction and reinforced in the conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays a generally coherent overall arrangement with logical paragraphing separating the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand,' 'Secondly,' 'Moreover,' and 'On the other hand' are used to signal the progression of ideas, although some transitions feel a bit mechanical. Referencing and pronoun usage are occasionally faulty, such as 'if they and other are completely declind they break down the food chain,' which makes the logical relationship between clauses murky. Paragraphing is adequate, but internal cohesion within the second body paragraph suffers from abrupt shifts between ideas, placing this text firmly in the Band 5.5 to 6.0 range, comfortably supported at Band 5.5 due to mechanical referencing errors.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, allowing the student to communicate basic ideas about the environment, plants, and animals. However, there is a lack of control over less common lexical items, and word choices are often inappropriate or unnatural, such as 'shortfall of plants,' 'heart patient,' 'climate chages,' and 'declind.' Spelling and word-form errors occur frequently ('mediciens,' 'indivisuals,' 'effected' instead of 'affected'), which occasionally impede smooth reading. The range of vocabulary is limited, fulfilling the criteria for Band 5, as noticeable errors and awkward collocations cause some difficulty for the reader throughout the response.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but grammatical accuracy is weak. There are frequent errors in verb tense, subject-verb agreement, and prepositions, such as 'people hold different views,' 'plants are completely vanished that could be effected,' and 'pollution are rapidly increase.' Many complex structures are faulty or incomplete, which leads to a heavy density of errors per sentence. While the meaning can generally be deciphered, the frequency of basic grammatical slips prevents the writing from achieving a higher band. Punctuation is also erratic in places, placing the performance securely within the Band 5 category.
