Firstly, ecosytem depends on different species, and these species play a vital role to devolp a balanced society so,if their is increase in species loss it effects the whole structure of ecosytem.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both views on environmental problems and providing a personal opinion, but it remains under the required length minimum of 250 words, finishing at only 194 words. Consequently, the ideas are partially addressed and remain limited and under-developed. For instance, the discussion on biodiversity and climate change lacks sufficient supporting examples and extension. While the writer manages to state a position that climate change and pollution are more serious, the arguments are truncated and fail to fully explore the complexities of both viewpoints as required by the task.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The essay displays some organization with initial cohesive markers such as 'Firstly' and 'Although', but there is no clear overall progression across the text. Paragraphing is weak and abrupt, with several single-sentence paragraphs that disrupt the logical flow of ideas, such as 'Losing biodiverstiy can damage agriculture and ecosystem.' and 'Air and water pollution cause serious issues'. Furthermore, referencing and cohesive devices are frequently inadequate or inaccurate, as seen in the repetitive and mechanical transitions, making it difficult for the reader to follow a sustained argument from introduction to conclusion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited but minimally adequate for the task. The writer attempts some less common and topic-specific vocabulary such as 'biodiversity', 'extinction', and 'pollination', but these are offset by noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and word form, including 'ecosytem' instead of 'ecosystem', 'devolp' instead of 'develop', 'extinct' used as a verb instead of 'go extinct', and 'eleds changing' instead of 'leads to changes'. These lexical slips and inaccuracies cause some difficulty for the reader and reflect a restricted control over word formation and collocation.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The grammatical range is limited, relying mostly on simple or faulty complex structures. There are frequent errors in basic grammar, punctuation, and article usage that cause difficulty for the reader throughout the response. Examples include subject-verb agreement errors like 'Their is ongoing debate' and 'problems deserves', incorrect verb forms such as 'they effect' instead of 'they affect', and run-on structures coupled with punctuation lapses like 'balanced society so,if their is increase'. Attempts at complex sentences are frequently marred by poor clause connection and prepositional mistakes, such as 'leeds changing in weather' and 'around all the world'.
