Student answer (Band 5.0)

Now a days some people says that the main environmental problem of our time is loss of particular spices of plants and animals. but other says that there are more important was environmental problem i believe that climate change and pollution problem are more serious

on the other hand loss of plants and animals is mojar environment concern. some of animals or we cna say some species and endanger they are close to extinct species this us becouse of deforestation cutting of large number of tress empty the forest and make species life in danger. the disapparing of bees can affect the pollination of plants and in food production. therefore

proctection aa endanger species is important for both nature and human beings.

on the other hand there are several problem of climate change. air pollution, water pollution and deforestation cuttinh of large number of tress which decrease the process of photosythesis and people do not get fresh oxygen and increasing the pollution in air by firing cracks for celebrations or in diwali festival and a smoke cominh from factors which pollutr the air these two and the main reasons for environment problem.

In my opinion, we have to prtect the endanger species and avoid doinh deforestation and for the reason of environment problem is strong valid because of pollution can be aa reason of our sickness and for deases and it also effect aa large part of planet and it lead to extinction of species in future.

In conclusion, some animal are in endanger problem, the problem of deforestion and on the otherside air pollution by cracker and by factor effect the environment and it also make normal people sick and unhealthy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both views and give a personal position: you recognise the importance of protecting endangered species, while stating that climate change and pollution are more serious. The example of bees and pollination is relevant, and you connect pollution with human health and species loss. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The first view is explained mainly through deforestation, while the second combines several problems without clearly comparing their scale or explaining climate change in detail. Your opinion is present, but phrases such as “strong valid” make its reasoning difficult to follow. Develop each side with a clear explanation and a specific example, then state more precisely why you consider one problem more serious.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “on the other hand,” “therefore” and “in conclusion” show an attempt to guide the reader. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear: the paragraph about pollution moves from deforestation to photosynthesis, celebrations and factory smoke without showing how these points connect. “On the other hand” is also repeated, including where the relationship between ideas is not a contrast. Some references, such as “these two,” are unclear. Organise each paragraph around one main point, explain it in a logical sequence, and use linking expressions only when their relationship is accurate.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “deforestation,” “pollination,” “extinction,” “air pollution” and “food production,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling errors make parts difficult to understand, for example “empty the forest,” “strong valid” and “firing cracks.” Repeated use of “problem” and “environment” also limits precision. Aim to learn accurate phrases as units, such as “habitat loss,” “pose a serious threat” and “vehicle or factory emissions,” and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain the causes and consequences of environmental damage without relying on vague or confusing expressions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences using connectors such as “because” and “which,” but the longer structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some ideas hard to follow. For example, “some people says” has subject–verb disagreement, while “some species and endanger they are close to extinct species” lacks a clear grammatical structure. Articles, plurals and verb forms are also inconsistent, as in “the problem of climate change” followed by “there are several problem.” Sentence boundaries and capitalisation are unreliable, particularly in the opening paragraph. Practise building accurate short sentences first, then combine them with one clear subordinate clause; check agreement, articles and punctuation when editing.
