Student answer (Band 4.0)
That is a good statement. In my opinion the main reason and problem in environment this time is good statement for loss of particular species like plants and animals. Sometimes some people not care about the plant and other species so the environment is not good situation. In current time i am not care about the plants and animals after some year the environment is not happy for the people. So this is very dangerous things some people are illness and admitted to the hospital. Environment for every country is really important for country side. To be honest ,the many people cutting the trees and plants this is not good this is bad for next generation. Animals is the benefits for the environment so they provide milk eggs and many others things so this is very comfortable there in my opinion. In my country the environmental problems is very high. I recommended the Government this is very critical things so contribute this situation. In my honest request for Government they are not cutting the trees and plants this is very bad things. Basically, one main reason is Pollution like car buses motorcycle this is main things like environmental problems. Personally, the air pollution leak buses car factories and industrial area is banned for few months. In more time some month later the environmental problem is very low position. The people are healthy and good in health situation. So, in my opinion environmental problem is danger for your health. So, banned the pollution able things and environment is really comfortable.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You identify several relevant environmental concerns, including species loss, tree cutting, and pollution, and you give a personal view that environmental damage threatens people’s health. However, the response only minimally addresses the discussion task: it does not clearly explain the view that other environmental problems may be more important than species loss, or compare the two positions. The opening, “That is a good statement,” does not establish a clear position, and the discussion shifts between ideas without explaining their relative importance. Examples such as animals providing “milk eggs” are not clearly connected to biodiversity loss. To improve, explain both viewpoints directly, state which you consider more serious, and support that judgement with a relevant, developed example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
The response contains several recognisable topic areas—species, tree cutting, pollution, and health—and phrases such as “In my opinion” and “Basically” signal some movement between points. However, ideas are not arranged into a clear progression, and there are no paragraphs to distinguish the two views from your own position. Many sentences repeat the same general claim that environmental problems are “bad” or “dangerous,” while links between points are unclear; for example, the discussion moves from animals providing products to government action and then to banning pollution without showing how these ideas connect. Organise the essay into an introduction, separate paragraphs for each view, and a conclusion. Use linking phrases to show contrast and cause rather than relying on repeated transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use basic vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “species,” “pollution,” “factories,” and “industrial area,” so the general subject is usually identifiable. There are also attempts to express evaluation, such as “dangerous” and “critical.” However, vocabulary is repetitive and often imprecise, which sometimes strains understanding. Phrases such as “the environment is not happy,” “pollution leak,” and “pollution able things” do not express the intended meanings naturally. Several word combinations are also awkward, including “comfortable there” and “very low position.” Build a more precise topic vocabulary and learn common collocations, such as “air pollution from vehicles” and “protect endangered species.” This would make your ideas clearer and more appropriate for an academic essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to communicate several connected ideas, and some simple sentence patterns are understandable, such as “Animals is the benefits for the environment so they provide milk eggs.” However, sentence structures are very limited, and frequent errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries make the writing difficult to follow. Examples include “some people not care,” “the environmental problems is,” and “Animals is”; these need forms such as “some people do not care,” “the environmental problems are,” and “Animals are.” Long strings of clauses, particularly in the opening and the pollution discussion, also lack clear punctuation. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using controlled clauses such as “because” and “although.” Check subject–verb agreement and sentence boundaries when proofreading.
