Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, environmental problem is drastically increased everywhere. I would say that this is the huge problem that we are loosing our environment. Every people has different point of view on these topic. Some say that main environmental problem of our time is the loss of so many species of plants and animals. Where others say that there are more important environmental problems exists on the earth. Well, I will discuss both views And give my opinion as well.
To start with, those who are contend that loss of many species and plants is one of most vital problems are concerned about biodiversity. Each and every species & plants plays an important role in natural cycle & stability in systems. Moreover, the loss of many types of plants & species will have negative impact on nature. For example, the disappearance of flora and fauna destroys the potential of source of new medicines, natural compounds etc.
On the other hand, there are other people who pointed out that there are more important environmental problems likewise, the global warming, pollution, climate change etc. Furthermore, Because of climate change & pollution humans faces Extremely high temperature, threat to human health. Consequently, these changes in ecology have an bad impact of different type of species & animals and climate changes as well.
In conclusion, Both of these environmental problems are worth paying attention to, each and every problem play a vital role in bio systems. And everyone should have to pay attention on both types of problems. These are not only climate change or any problem but it's effect on human cycles & humans health as well.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both views: the first body paragraph explains why species loss matters, while the second names climate change and pollution as competing concerns. You also give a position in the introduction and conclusion, saying both deserve attention. However, the position is not fully clear or developed: the essay does not explain whether one problem is more important, or why you ultimately favour treating them equally. Supporting ideas remain limited. The point about biodiversity and potential medicines is relevant, but the other view is mostly a list of problems followed by broad effects on people and nature. Develop each side with a specific explanation or example, and make your own judgement more explicit and consistent.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “To start with,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the discussion. This coherent arrangement supports the argument, although some links are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Consequently” introduces a sentence whose relationship to the previous point is not fully explained, and “these changes in ecology” has an unclear reference. The conclusion repeats the idea that both problems matter rather than drawing together the reasons discussed. Use clearer links between cause and effect, refer precisely to earlier ideas, and make each paragraph progress towards a definite final judgement.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “biodiversity,” “natural cycle,” “global warming,” “pollution,” and “flora and fauna.” These terms show an attempt to discuss environmental issues beyond very basic language. However, the range is uneven, and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, sometimes making the meaning less clear. Examples include “the huge problem that we are loosing our environment,” “an bad impact,” and “humans faces Extremely high temperature.” “Species and plants” is also repeated where more precise phrasing would help. Aim to use environmental terms accurately and choose natural collocations; proofreading spelling and word forms will also make your ideas easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences using connectors such as “Moreover,” “Because of,” and “Consequently.” This gives the response some structural variety, but control is inconsistent, and errors occur often enough to make parts of the argument difficult to follow. For example, “Every people has” has a subject–verb and number problem, while “humans faces” and “each and every problem play” show agreement errors. Articles and sentence construction are also problematic in “an bad impact” and “there are more important environmental problems exists.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, particularly after “And” and “Because.” Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and complete clause structures before adding more complex sentences.
