Student answer (Band 5.5)
The globlewarming is increased day by day and because of that the environment change frequeantly. One group of people believes that loss of certain species of plants and animals are the important environmental problem, while the other group argue that, some other important problems are there which is important to solve compare to that. before my opinion, I would like to elaborate bothe view in ferther paragraphes.
among all reasons why the attention is needed on in denger species, the main one is that it help to balance biologiical cycle. In nature all animals and plants are conected with each other, if any one missing part of cycle can distroy all system. Moreover, if indengerd species was not saved by anyone, it may disapiar on earth. As a result the benifists which comes from that species became invisible.
In contrast, there are other very important problems which are important to takel such as ice malting and sea lavel rising because of increase temprature. If people do not address this problem it may damage nearcostline areas by riseng sea level. In addition, acid rain also one of the important consern. because of the toxic gases in environment it happen and as result of acid rain the land and crop damaged. The other dificulty because of environment changes is degeneration of ozon leyear. Because of that harmfull UV rays can damage individual skin.
In my opinion, there are other problems which is important to solve because it harm more that the loss of particular species.
In conclusion, Because of enviorenmenta change people face verry difficulty such as acid rain, ozon degeneration and rising the sea level which are more important then indeger species recovery.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and give a clear opinion: you explain why species loss matters through its effect on ecological balance, then argue that rising sea levels, acid rain and ozone-layer damage are more pressing. These points are relevant and the essay has a recognisable response to every part of the prompt. However, the two sides are not developed equally. The explanation of species loss is brief, and the claim that the other problems “harm more” is asserted rather than supported with a comparison or a specific example. The discussion of acid rain and UV exposure gives some consequences, but could explain their scale or impact more fully. Develop each main point with a clear example and connect it directly to your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, your opinion, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “In contrast,” and “In addition” help signal the movement between ideas. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and the relationship between points is not always clear. For example, “before my opinion” does not accurately introduce the discussion, while the separate opinion paragraph repeats the claim made in the introduction and conclusion without adding a reason. Some sentences also run ideas together, as in “In nature all animals and plants are connected with each other, if any one missing part of cycle can destroy all system.” Use clearer sentence boundaries and make each paragraph build toward the comparison in your opinion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant environmental vocabulary, including “endangered species,” “sea level,” “acid rain,” and “UV rays,” which makes the topic understandable. There are also attempts at more specific terms such as “biological cycle” and “toxic gases.” However, spelling errors are frequent and sometimes make the reader pause, including “globlewarming,” “frequeantly,” “indengerd,” and “ozon leyear.” Several word combinations are also inaccurate or unnatural, such as “the environment change,” “the benefits which comes from that species became invisible,” and “ozone degeneration.” This limits precision even when the intended meaning can be inferred. Check spelling carefully and learn environmental collocations as complete phrases, such as “maintain ecological balance” and “ozone-layer depletion.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “If people do not address this problem, it may damage…” and clauses introduced by “because.” The overall meaning is generally recoverable, but grammatical errors occur across the response. Subject–verb agreement is inconsistent in “loss … are” and “the other group argue”; articles and sentence structure are also problematic in “acid rain also one of the important concern.” Some clauses are joined incorrectly, as in “In nature all animals and plants are connected with each other, if any one missing part of cycle can destroy all system.” Work on agreement, complete clause structure, articles and punctuation. Separating linked ideas into accurate sentences will help you retain complexity without obscuring meaning.
