Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both sides of the question: you mention the loss of plant and animal species, then discuss air, noise and water pollution, global warming and related concerns. Your conclusion also gives a position—that urgent environmental problems should be dealt with while species are protected. However, the discussion is only partial: the species section is brief and its examples (“some deer”) are unclear, while the other problems are mostly listed rather than explained or supported. The response would be stronger if you compared the seriousness of species loss with one or two other problems and explained why you consider those more urgent. Develop specific examples and make your opinion clear from the introduction through to the conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
Headings such as “Loss of particular species and animals” and “Important environmental problems” help signal the two sides, and the conclusion attempts to bring them together. However, the response has no clear paragraph progression: several topics appear as short, separate labels, including “Noise pollution” and “Water Pollution,” rather than as connected paragraphs. Linking phrases such as “First of all” and “So” are used, but relationships between ideas are often not explained, and the list of environmental problems feels repetitive. Organise the essay into an introduction, a developed paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. Use linking expressions to show cause, contrast and comparison, and make references such as “these things” more precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “air pollution,” “industrial waste,” “sea levels,” “Glaciers” and “ozone layer,” so the reader can identify the environmental issues you mean. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “big wrenching heart,” “at extinct level,” “enhance the beauty,” and “make ine very annoy.” Spelling errors, including “neccesary,” “dieases” and “turnnig,” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural environmental vocabulary and check spelling carefully. For example, describe species as “endangered” or “at risk of extinction,” and explain that pollution “causes respiratory illnesses” rather than relying on broad or awkward phrases.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts some longer structures, for example “drain water, industrial waste when expose into sea it overall harms environment,” and uses a few simple sentences to present separate issues. However, the range is limited, and many sentences contain errors in agreement, verb forms, articles or sentence construction. Examples include “everyone perceive,” “there are some species … are at extinct level,” and “when expose into sea.” Punctuation and capitalisation are also inconsistent, which makes some ideas harder to follow. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then connect them with clauses using “because,” “which” and “although.” Check that each sentence has a clear subject and verb, and review articles and plural forms before submitting.
