Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You express a view that plants and animals should be preserved, and you give relevant reasons, including plants’ medicinal value and their role as food and shelter for animals. However, the task asks you to discuss species loss alongside other important environmental problems. Your response mainly discusses plants, tree cutting and development; it does not clearly explain the loss of animal or plant species as a distinct problem, nor identify and discuss other environmental problems such as pollution or climate change. The position also shifts: you argue for preservation, then suggest cutting trees for development, before concluding that development should avoid harming them. To improve, address both views directly, explain each with a specific example, and state a consistent opinion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

Your response has an introduction, two main paragraphs and a concluding paragraph, and expressions such as “furthermore” and “at last” signal stages in the discussion. However, the ideas do not progress clearly from the two views in the question to your own opinion. The second paragraph moves from development needs to cutting trees and then to jobs and public spaces, while the final paragraph reverses this by saying development can happen without harming trees. Some connections are also unclear, so the reader has to infer how the examples support your argument. Organise the essay around the task: one paragraph for species loss, one for other environmental problems, and a conclusion stating your view. Use linking phrases to show precise relationships between claims and examples.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “natural resource,” “medicinal herbs,” “sustainable purpose” and “preserve,” and you include examples such as tulsi and yarsagumba. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the meaning difficult to follow, for example “produce from natural plants,” “relief way,” “big favorites” and “purse as the shelter.” Spelling errors such as “prespective,” “concurrenlty” and “vison” are also noticeable. Aim for accurate, topic-specific phrases and check spelling carefully. For instance, you could refer to “medicinal plants,” “habitats for wildlife,” “economic development” and “the loss of biodiversity.” This would make your ideas clearer and more precise.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentences and use clauses to explain reasons, as in “since ancient time people are preserving more plant to study about the medicinal herbs.” However, complex sentences are often difficult to follow because of errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, articles and punctuation. For example, “being an human beign we need h2o” needs a clearer opening clause and article, while “we can analysis” uses an incorrect verb form. Several sentences run together without full stops, and the final paragraph contains an incomplete construction: “we can use the area for developing the into malls.” Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then combine ideas with accurate subordinate clauses. Check subject–verb agreement, articles and sentence boundaries during revision.
