Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people Conclude that, the main environmental drawbacks of nowdays is extinction of ecosystem. While a certain group said ,there is numerous number of environmental problems. In my opinion, both of the ideas are correct and not only tht humans has to be included as environmental problem as well.
Firstly ,other members considered loss of ecosystem is the main ideal of environment problem because most of the species such as animas amd plants are rearly to be found ,for instance elephant and trees like bamboo are no scary in many forest. This is because their habitat has been destroyed as the results there is decline of ecosystem.
on the other hand,a certain group had a different views about environment, they said its not only ecosystem but there is a huge problems concerning environment because when talk about environment there is also Soil and water. So other problems are Loss of fertile lisoil and it can be coused heavy rains ,as the results there is low yield .Not only that, water pollution is also another issue, this can be caused by industry constructed along the river banks well as humans due poor disposal, this affect the habitat for aquatic plants and animals as well.In addition Soil degradation is also another environmental issue, this happens due to the use of heavy machines and overcaltivation which makes the soil to ne damaged.
In conclusion,it is not only ecosystem that is having the problem with environment, but also Soil and water since both are concluded to be environment. And they also play a big role as part of environment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both viewpoints: the first paragraph presents species loss as a major concern, while the next describes soil degradation and water pollution as other environmental problems. Your conclusion also gives a position, saying both views matter and adding that humans contribute to environmental damage. However, the opinion is not fully clear or consistently developed: the claim that humans are themselves an environmental problem is introduced but not explained. Some examples are relevant, such as pollution from industry and poor waste disposal, but the species-loss example is unclear and the causes and consequences are only briefly explained. Develop each side with a precise example and explain why it supports your view.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “Firstly,” “on the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal the broad direction of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several points are joined together without clear sentence boundaries. The second body paragraph moves from soil loss to water pollution and then soil degradation, repeating the soil point rather than building a clear sequence. Some linking phrases are also used mechanically, including repeated “Not only that” and “as the results.” Organise each paragraph around one main idea, then explain and illustrate it before moving on.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “extinction,” “habitat,” “water pollution,” “fertile soil,” and “soil degradation,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or misspelled expressions make meaning harder to understand. For example, “loss of ecosystem” does not precisely express the loss of particular species, and “no scary” appears to be an incorrect word choice in the example about elephants and bamboo. Forms such as “environmental drawbacks” and “huge problems” are also imprecise or informal for this discussion. Aim for accurate collocations and check spelling carefully; using a smaller set of precise terms is more effective than attempting unclear phrases.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including cause-and-effect structures such as “This is because their habitat has been destroyed” and “which makes the soil to ne damaged.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in sentence boundaries, agreement, articles, and verb forms can make the argument difficult to follow. For example, “there is numerous number” has an agreement problem, while “humans has to be included” uses an incorrect verb form. Several sentences run together after commas, particularly in the paragraph beginning “on the other hand,” and punctuation spacing is inconsistent. Practise forming complete sentences with one clear main clause, then add subordinate clauses accurately; proofread agreement and punctuation.
