Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, environmental problems have become a major concern worldwide. There are so many different concerning effects of these problems. On the one hand, the loss of particular species can have devasting consequences for the enviornment such as white tiger and rhino. Overall, our ecosystem is balanced naturally and can save all of the lives on planet. In my perspective, the root cause of this problem are various such as climate change, pollution that are effecting the whole biodiversity.
On the other hand, some people agree with my perspective that climate change and pollution to be more pressing environmental concerns. If we talk about deforestation or renewable energy programs they really caused the endangered of some species more. Moreover pollution that have become the main problem overall as it pressing serious issues towards global warming. In my opinion, Environmental regulations are the part where we are lacking we need urgent crack down on deforestation and pollution. However, it is also concerning that we are not working effectively on sustainable practices, it will cause a result in lost of resources for our future.
In conclusion, although the loss of plant and animal species is a significant environmental problem, I believe that climat change and polution are equally urgent as they are causing so many issues such as respiratory illnesses and effecting the globe rapidly. Goverments should have to step in and take some actions related to preservence of our nature. I personally beleive that if these practices will be followed there are still chances we can save our biodiversity.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and give a position: species loss is significant, while climate change and pollution are also urgent. This is relevant to the question, and the conclusion restates your opinion. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The first view is asserted through “the loss of particular species can have devastating consequences,” but the examples of white tigers and rhinos are not explained, and the claim that ecosystems “can save all of the lives” is unclear. The second view introduces deforestation, pollution and renewable-energy programmes without showing precisely how they compare in importance. Develop each view with a clear cause-and-effect explanation and a specific example, then make your comparison more explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. These divisions help the reader identify the broad structure. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: several ideas are introduced in quick succession, such as deforestation, renewable energy, pollution and global warming, without clear links explaining how one leads to the next. Some connections are also confusing, particularly “If we talk about deforestation or renewable energy programs they really caused the endangered of some species more.” The repeated use of “Moreover,” “However” and “In my opinion” does not always clarify the relationship between points. Organise each paragraph around one main claim and use referencing and linking phrases more precisely.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant environmental vocabulary, including “biodiversity,” “deforestation,” “sustainable practices” and “environmental regulations,” which shows an attempt to discuss the topic beyond basic terms. However, the range is not consistently controlled, and several word-choice, collocation and spelling errors make parts difficult to interpret. For example, “the endangered of some species” and “a result in lost of resources” are not natural expressions, while “crack down on deforestation” is an imprecise collocation in this context. There are also misspellings such as “devasting,” “climat” and “Goverments.” Build accuracy by checking word forms and spelling, and learn environmental phrases in context rather than combining familiar words freely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “although” and “if.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, agreement and verb forms sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. For instance, “the root cause of this problem are various” has a subject–verb agreement problem, and “pollution that have become the main problem” does not form a complete, accurate clause. The conditional “if these practices will be followed” also uses an unsuitable verb form. Some sentences join several ideas without clear grammatical boundaries. Practise building accurate complex sentences, especially conditionals and relative clauses, and check that each sentence has a clear subject and correctly matched verb.
