Student answer (Band 5.5)
environment problem is one of the major issue in present condition.some individuals argue that main environment problem of present time is loss of particukar soecies of plants and animals while others belived that there are so many crucial environment issues.my take on this is there are numirous problems of environment including loss of plants and animals.
to begin with, environment pollution is one of the major issue of the todays world which is mainly caused by the vechiles and factories.the harmful gas which comes out from it reduce the oxygen level and increase the co2.this effect enironment as well as human beings.for instance, the area surrounded by the factories not any plant were grown there.morever, air is affected by the gas which is produced by them and effect the plants in their grow.therefore, gas are very harmful for environment.
however, loss of species of plants and animals cant be ignored.the plants and animals run the eco system of the world.the unwanted things like gas (co2) is taken by the plants and throw the oxygen which helps the human being to survive in the world and the animals eat the things which the humans dont need and provide the useful things which is usefulnfor farming.for example, trees take unwanted gas.nevertheless, air pollution and waste are the very harmful to environment.consequently, the gases produced by the factories and vechicles effect much harder.
in conclusion, both views are reasonable but unwanted gas and plastic thrown by citizen effcts the environment harder because the plants cant grow in their flow due to pollution and less naturality.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both views: the first body paragraph focuses on pollution, while the next explains why losing plants and animals matters. Your conclusion also gives a preference for pollution as the more serious problem, so a position is present. However, the response only partly fulfils the task because the two views are not explored with equal clarity, and several supporting points are difficult to follow. For example, the explanation that animals “provide the useful things” is vague, and the claim that factory gases prevent plants from growing needs a clearer explanation or a specific example. Develop each side with a precise reason and relevant evidence, then state your comparison more directly in the conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and transitions such as “to begin with,” “however” and “in conclusion” help signal the stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the second body paragraph moves from the role of plants and animals to pollution and then back to factory gases, making the comparison harder to follow. Some links are also unclear, particularly “the animals eat the things which the humans dont need.” Use one main idea per paragraph, arrange supporting explanations in a logical order, and make references explicit. More precise links between cause, effect and example would improve the overall flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant environmental vocabulary, including “species,” “pollution,” “oxygen level,” “factories” and “eco system,” which makes the topic clear. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “environment,” “gas” and “harmful.” Frequent spelling errors, such as “particukar,” “vechiles” and “effcts,” also make the writing less clear. Some choices are imprecise or unnatural: “throw the oxygen” does not express the intended process, and “less naturality” is unclear. Build a more accurate set of topic-specific terms and check spelling and collocations so that your ideas can be expressed precisely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a cause-and-effect structure in “the harmful gas which comes out from it reduce the oxygen level.” However, control is limited: errors in subject–verb agreement, articles, plurals and sentence boundaries occur frequently and sometimes make relationships difficult to understand. For example, “environment pollution is one of the major issue” needs agreement and plural marking, while “the plants and animals run the eco system” has an unclear grammatical construction. Several sentences also join ideas without reliable punctuation. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then add subordinate clauses and connectors, checking agreement and punctuation in each sentence.
