Student answer (Band 5.5)
Environmental problems are causing catastrophic issues for many countries. Some people believe that due to major environmental problems we are lossing specific species of plants and animals, while other people argue that there are more crucial environmental factors to take care and i do believe same.
On the one hand, people argue that environmental issues are making certain species of pants and animals, extinct. They believe that climate change is destroying the the habitate of plants and animals such as pentail bird is at the border of extinction, due to climate change in northren Pakistan. Also, some rare species of plants have been lost in Nepal, due increase in temprature of whole rejion. Moreover, climate change is also effecting our basic crops with non seasonal rains and specific rise in temprature.
On the other hand, people believe that there are more critical environmental problems exits which need urgent attention. Such as cloud brust incidents are increasing and these incidents can be very deadly. Recent example of cloud brust in Pakistan has wiped out almost a complete small town named 'Siri Paya'. Moreover, lake brust phenomena has wiped out a village of 1000 people in Nepal is very concerning. Therefore, some people urge to handle these kind of issue at top priority.
In my opinion, climate chnage has genrated many environmental problems for mankind and we need to take measures. So that, these kind of problems can be avioded. Every year alot of people loss their life due climate chnage events. There should be an organization to put check and balance on coutries for the betterment of mankind.
In conclusion, environment is chnaging rapidly and we are lossing many specific plants and animals. But along with all other factors we need to consider new environmental factors to save humans for unannounced problems.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both views and state your opinion: the first body paragraph focuses on species loss, while the second presents other environmental threats, including cloudbursts and lake bursts. Your examples from Pakistan and Nepal make the discussion relevant. However, the response only partly develops the task. The first view is linked mainly to climate change, and the second is illustrated with disasters, but you do not explain clearly why these problems are more important than species loss. Your position that broader climate-related problems deserve priority is present, though it could be stated more precisely and supported with a clearer comparison. Develop the consequences of each issue and explain why you rank one above the other.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the broad direction. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes weak: the first body paragraph moves from species extinction to crop effects without explaining how the latter supports the view about species loss. Some linking is mechanical or unclear, particularly “So that” at the start of a sentence and “Therefore” before a broad conclusion. The conclusion also repeats earlier points rather than drawing them together. Use clearer links between claims and examples, and organise each paragraph around one main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “extinct,” “climate change,” “habitat,” and “urgent attention,” which helps communicate the subject. There are also attempts at more specific terms, such as “cloudburst incidents” and “lake burst phenomena.” However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “lossing,” “pants,” “habitate,” “temprature,” and “effecting.” Some phrases are imprecise or unnatural, such as “environmental factors to take care” and “put check and balance on countries.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning harder to follow. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning natural collocations for environmental impacts, policy action, and species decline.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “while,” “due to,” and “which,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. For example, “we are lossing specific species” has an incorrect verb form, while “there are more critical environmental problems exits” combines incompatible sentence structures. In “a village of 1000 people in Nepal is very concerning,” the relationship between the event and the concern is not grammatically clear. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention, as in “So that, these kind of problems can be avioded.” Practise forming complete clauses and checking subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence connections.
