Student answer (Band 5.5)

Some people believe that the major enviromental problem in the mean time is the loss of particular species of plants and animals while others think that there are more environmantal problems. Both perspectives has reasonable grounds and each can be supported with the number of arguments. In believe there are several environmental problems such as pollution.

On the one hand, the crucial problem in that the loss of endangered species of plants and animals. This case in justified in some cases because many types of plants protect humans in term of breathing process because plants comsume plenty of harmful gasses which is beneficail for environment as well for humans. The other problem of enviornmental problem is the loss of animals because some they vanish those materials from earth which is harmful for environment. For instance, some many samll species of animals use litter such as plastic in term of their diet. This the cheapest source of finishing the waste from earth. Therefore, people believe that thses are the main problems.

On ther other, People thinks that there are more environmental problems such as polltuion particularly air pollution. These reason behind that the significant increase in the number of vehicle as well factories. I believe that the main environmental is not just the loss of palnts and animals. The cars and idustrialization in affecting the environment. For example, the people of Bangladesh faced many environmental the highest percentage is accounted for air pollution and the reaseon behind that large numbers of vehicles and factories.

In conclusion, loss of endangered plants and animals is also the main the problems of environment in the current time. However, I believe that the increasing the numbers of factories and vehicle is also the major reason for damaging the envirionment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both views: the first body paragraph explains why species loss matters, while the next discusses air pollution from vehicles and factories. Your conclusion also gives a position, suggesting that industrial activity and vehicles are major causes of environmental damage. However, the opinion is not fully clear in the introduction, where “In believe” does not establish which view you support, and the conclusion partly returns to species loss without clearly comparing the problems. Some support is relevant, such as the Bangladesh example, but the claim that small animals remove plastic is unclear and needs accurate explanation. Develop each view with a clearer reason and a specific, credible example, then state your judgement consistently.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. “On the one hand” and “On ther other” help signal the contrast, and the Bangladesh example is placed with the discussion of pollution. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the explanation about plants, harmful gases, animals, and plastic shifts abruptly, and “This the cheapest source of finishing the waste” does not clearly connect to the preceding point. Some linking phrases are repetitive or used mechanically, including repeated references to “the main problem.” Use clearer topic sentences, make each supporting sentence explain the previous one, and use pronouns and transitions that make relationships between ideas explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “endangered species,” “air pollution,” “factories,” and “environment,” so the reader can identify the subject of each paragraph. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts difficult to understand. Phrases such as “in the mean time,” “finishing the waste,” and “the highest percentage is accounted for” are unnatural or imprecise in context. Spelling errors such as “enviromental,” “beneficail,” and “polltuion” are also noticeable. Build a more accurate set of environmental collocations and check spelling; for example, explain that species “help break down waste” only where this is factually appropriate, rather than describing plastic as a “source of finishing the waste.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast with “while” and a reason introduced by “because.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and verb forms frequently make the meaning harder to follow. Examples include “Both perspectives has reasonable grounds,” “some they vanish,” and “the significant increase in the number of vehicle as well factories.” Several sentences are incomplete or lack a clear grammatical connection, such as “This the cheapest source of finishing the waste from earth.” Practise forming complete subject–verb–object sentences, checking singular and plural agreement, and using articles and prepositions accurately. Then combine ideas with subordinate clauses only when the sentence remains clear.
