Student answer (Band 5.0)

Few individuals think that the main enviromental problem of out time is the lost of many species of animals and plants. And some say that there are more atmospheric challenges. In my opinion, both gatherings thick good there are too many problems in atmosphere those who thick these are because of loss of plants and animals.

Moreover, becuase of the loss of different viraity of plants and trees and loss of some animals also cause enviromental problems becuase plants and trees produce oxygen and animal also release natural chemicals from there body both plays an important role in our enviroment due to the loss of animals and plants there are no enough oxygen etc in enviroment. We neend to stop killing animals many people kills animals due to there horns and skin is expensive. People kill animals and sell there parts thats why there is a loss of many species. Also people cut tree and plant when they do a construction projects or want to make city and society.

On the other hand, Other people said there are more enviromental problem thats true polution in air due to cars and buses. Radioactive chemicals or gases coming from factorys also cause very serious enviromental problems. People neend to stop using gases and chemicals products also people neends to take care of there cars or whatever they drive so the cars did not produce the gas.

Goverment neends to take action againest people who produce polution in air.Alsio they need to start a program that clean air.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both views: the first body paragraph discusses species loss, while the next mentions vehicle emissions and factory pollution. You also offer a position, saying that both views have merit. However, the opinion is difficult to interpret in the introduction (“both gatherings thick good”), and the discussion remains limited. The explanation that plants produce oxygen is relevant, but the claim about animals releasing “natural chemicals” is unclear and not developed; the pollution paragraph mainly lists causes and gives brief recommendations. To strengthen the response, state your position clearly and explain why one or both problems are especially important, using specific examples and fuller reasoning.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic paragraph structure, with an introduction, a paragraph about species loss, and a contrasting paragraph about pollution. Connectors such as “Moreover” and “On the other hand” help signal the two sides. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear, and some links are mechanical or inaccurate. For example, the opening sentence of the first body paragraph combines several causes and effects without showing their relationships clearly, while “both gatherings thick good” makes the central argument hard to follow. The conclusion is also missing, so the discussion ends abruptly with a proposed government action. Use clearer topic sentences, organise each paragraph around one main point, and add a brief concluding statement.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “species,” “oxygen,” “construction projects,” “radioactive chemicals,” and “pollution.” This gives the reader a basic sense of the environmental issues being discussed. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or misspelled choices make meaning difficult to follow, such as “atmospheric challenges” for environmental problems, “gatherings” for groups or people, and “thick” for think. Spelling errors such as “enviromental,” “polution,” and “factorys” are also frequent. Build a reliable set of topic-specific terms and check spelling; choose precise expressions such as “loss of biodiversity,” “vehicle emissions,” and “industrial pollution” rather than relying on vague wording.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentences and use basic structures to explain causes, for example, “People kill animals and sell there parts thats why there is a loss of many species.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. In “both plays an important role,” the plural subject needs a plural verb; “there are no enough oxygen” also has an incorrect quantifier and article pattern. Several sentences run together without appropriate punctuation, particularly the sentence beginning “Moreover, becuase of the loss…”. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then combine ideas with controlled clauses and check subject–verb agreement and punctuation.
