Student answer (Band 5.5)
Environment is damaging day-by-day because the actions of humans. It has been observed that, certain individuals aruge that the main environmental issue of our time is the loss of particular species of plants and animals. While, critics believe that there are more important environmental problems. Here, this essay will discuss both the views along with practical examples in support. In my opinion, people need to protect both equally, because it is majorly improtent for society.
As far as former view is concerned, if particular species of plants and animals gone for ever, then it will create ecological disbalance in ecosystem, which eventually affects humans. For instance, bees are useful for pollination from plants and that contribute to agriculture. Not only this but
also extent cannot be preventation because if certain animals and plants extent then it would be more difficulate to balance the ecological chain. Let me given an example, a dodo brids are in bodarline of extent, so if they compeletly wipeout then it will affects species of animals.
One of the biggest environmental problems is global warming and that is affecting not only one nation but all over the world, so that has a drastic effects on earth as well as it is the cuase of melting galsiour and that is way the ocean level is incresed day-by-day, as a result, that affects on individuals, so they need to look after this issue and resolve it with beging together. Apart from this, local environmental issues like polluated air and water is another concerned because it can affect the society of people; even the factories and industries are dumpping there wasteage in water as well as in air, as a result, which gives a birth to certain disease, so individuals need to focus on this affective problems.
To conclude, advocate aruge that individuals need to look after extentation of certain plants and animals; however, opponent criticize and said we need to resolve the major issue of global warming and polluationed air and water.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and state an opinion: species loss can disrupt ecosystems, while global warming and pollution affect people more broadly. The examples of bees and industrial waste are relevant, and the response stays focused on the question. However, the position that both problems should be protected “equally” is not fully explained, and the discussion of the second view is broader than the comparison of the two views. Some support is unclear or inaccurate: the dodo is described as being “in borderline of extinction,” although it is extinct, and the effect on other species is not explained. Develop each view with accurate examples and make your own judgement more explicit throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph on species loss, one on other environmental problems, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “As far as former view is concerned” and “To conclude” helps identify the stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow because several ideas are joined into long, loosely connected sentences. The repeated use of “so,” “as a result,” and “because” makes cohesion mechanical, while references such as “that” and “this issue” are not always clear. The conclusion repeats the opposing views but does not clearly restate your own position. Use shorter, more logically ordered sentences and link each example directly to its main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt topic-specific vocabulary, including “ecological,” “pollination,” “global warming,” and “ocean level,” which shows awareness of the subject. However, the range is limited and many word-choice, collocation, word-form, and spelling errors make parts of the argument difficult to understand. Examples include “ecological disbalance,” “extentation,” “polluated air,” and “gives a birth to certain disease.” Some expressions are also imprecise, such as “protect both equally” and “affective problems.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations rather than using ambitious terms without checking their form. Building a small set of reliable environmental phrases and proofreading spelling would make your meaning clearer and more precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if particular species … gone for ever, then it will create…” and cause-and-effect clauses. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction sometimes make the meaning hard to follow. For example, “Environment is damaging … because the actions of humans” lacks a complete, correctly formed clause; “if … species … gone” needs a verb; and “that has a drastic effects” has an agreement error. Several sentences also run together through repeated conjunctions. Practise forming complete clauses, checking subject–verb agreement and articles, and separating long sentences into clearer units.
