Student answer (Band 5.0)

In today's rapidly changing world every aspect of human life have been evolving significantly. Many humans believe that the main enviromental disaster in our era is loss of different plants and animals species while other think that some other issues are greater than this one.In my opinion maybe we are facing many big problems but the loss of plants and animal species are also significant. To begin with first point of view, I'm going to discuss that the loss of wild life can disastericaly change our life, plants and animals are important part of our food chain and ecosystem and loss of a particular specie can effect it badly. For example if a plant extinct so the animal who mainly depend on it such as deer also show a decline in their popolation and the animal who entirely depends on deer for extance lion, their population also reduce.Secondly the deforestation also effect human life badly because forests are main source of oxygen , food and biodiversity.Further more some other environmental problems like global warming is also one of the greatest threat for humans but its main cause is also mankind. The pollution from factories and cutting down of trees is its main cause which are done by us.At last we came to know that plants a

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You introduce both views and give a personal position, noting that species loss is significant while other problems also matter. The food-chain example helps explain why losing one species can affect others, and you identify global warming and pollution as competing concerns. However, the discussion of the view that other problems are more important is brief, and the essay ends mid-sentence (“At last we came to know that plants a”), so the conclusion and final position are not completed. The response also contains 214 words, below the required 250, which limits how fully you can develop both sides. To strengthen the response, explain why another environmental problem may be more urgent, support it with a specific example, and finish with a clear conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: you introduce the topic, discuss species loss, and then mention global warming and pollution. Connectors such as “To begin with,” “Secondly,” and “Further more” signal the direction of ideas. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the response is one continuous paragraph, and some links are mechanical or unclear. For example, “To begin with first point of view” repeats the same signposting, while the shift from deforestation to global warming is not fully explained. The final sentence is cut off, leaving the argument without closure. Use separate paragraphs for the introduction, each view, and the conclusion, and make the relationship between examples and claims explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “food chain,” “ecosystem,” “deforestation,” “global warming,” and “pollution,” which allows you to address the environmental theme. There are also attempts at more specific language, such as describing animals that “entirely depend” on deer. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the message harder to read: “enviromental,” “disastericaly,” “popolation,” and “extance” appear in the response. Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “plants and animals species” and “main source of oxygen.” Build accuracy by checking spelling and word forms, and learn common collocations such as “animal species,” “population decline,” and “a major source of oxygen.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional example beginning “if a plant extinct” and a sentence explaining the causes of global warming. This shows an effort to connect ideas rather than relying only on short statements. However, errors are frequent, and some sentence structures are difficult to process. Examples include “every aspect of human life have been evolving,” where the subject and verb do not agree, and “plants and animals are important part,” which needs an article. The conditional “if a plant extinct” also lacks a verb form, and punctuation is often missing between sentences. Practise subject–verb agreement, articles, and complete conditional clauses, then proofread for sentence boundaries.
