Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, some argue that primary environmental issue is endangered animals and plants, while others say that many other environmental problems are cucial. In this essay I will explain both side and also give my perspective.
On the one hand, endangered animals and plants are the main cause in our life. This is because they can provide food and shelter in our life. Government should start an awarness compaign to restrict the people to hunt animals, and provide the environment such as zoo where they can live for long time and they gain basic facilities there. For example, the loss of deers in pakistan because excessively hunting in northen areas. It is shows that government should provide proper atmostphere and food to overcome the rate of extinction.
However, pollution is the major reason to cope the environmental problem.
This is the reason, industries and factories emitted dangereous gasses and waste through the river where animals drink it and that is not appropriate it. Government should allocate the rules and regulation against them and fine on it those who poluted the water and air. For example, many people who suffer from asthama and dementia and heart diasease beacuse they could not get fresh air in urban areas.
In conclusion, enviromental issue is the big problem, although I agree the former viewpoint because clean enviroment can save from allergies and severe disease and also provide better healthy environment. In this way government save the animals and plants.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You address both views and state a preference for protecting species, so the response is relevant to the question. However, the discussion is only partial: the first body paragraph focuses on the benefits of animals and proposes zoos, but does not clearly explain why species loss is the most important environmental problem. The second paragraph introduces pollution, yet its effects and relative importance are not fully developed. Your conclusion also shifts toward clean environments and disease prevention, which does not clearly reinforce your stated preference. The deer example is relevant but needs clearer explanation. The response is six words below the required minimum, and the limited development contributes to the task being only partially addressed. Develop each view with a clear reason and a specific, explained example, then make your opinion consistent throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “On the one hand” and “However,” and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the two sides. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and some links are mechanical or inaccurate. For instance, “This is the reason” does not connect smoothly to the explanation of industrial pollution, while “For example” introduces health effects without clearly showing how they support the comparison of environmental problems. References such as “them” and “it” are also unclear. To improve, organise each paragraph around one main claim, explain it in a logical sequence, and use linking phrases only when their relationship between ideas is precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “endangered,” “extinction,” “pollution,” “industries,” and “environmental problem,” which makes the subject clear. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, such as “cucial,” “awarness compaign,” “atmostphere,” and “poluted.” Some combinations are also unnatural: “restrict the people to hunt animals” and “provide the environment such as zoo” do not express the intended ideas clearly. Aim to learn accurate collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “habitat,” “biodiversity,” “emissions,” and “enforce regulations” would help you explain the issues with greater clarity and variety.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “This is because” and a relative clause in “those who poluted the water and air.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “some argue that primary environmental issue” is missing an article, “It is shows” has an incorrect verb form, and “many people who suffer … beacuse they could not get fresh air” has an unclear sentence structure and tense. There are also problems with agreement and sentence boundaries, as in “Government should allocate the rules and regulation … and fine on it.” Practise building accurate sentences with clear subjects and verbs, and check articles, agreement, and punctuation.
