Student answer (Band 5.5)
The primary environmental problems, has became a central focus of global discourse. While some individuals think that the main reason is the loss of some species of plants and animals. Others believe that there s several problems with more importance. From my perspective I agree that there are so many problem with more importance than the loss of some species.
Those who support that the main environmental problem is the loss of species, argue that every plant and animal has a crucial role in the ecological equilibrium. Furthermore, some species weather plants or insects are benificial for our well-being and vigor because they provide some medical potential.
On the other hand, there are numerous environmental issues more urgent and crucial than species. Climate change causes by gases used and so many and rising sea levels. In addition, air and water pollution are most crucial because it effected directly our vigor more than anything else. Due to all that, species loss is large largely not the main problem, however the loss of species contribute in the pollution.
In my opinion, I agree that the loss of species is a serious issue , nevertheless it is not the most crucial serious problem for the environment.
To sup up, although the harmfullness cause by the disappearance of several types of species and it poses so many consequences. I believe that there are so many problems with more importance for instance pollution and climate change.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You discuss both views and state your position: you recognise species loss as serious but argue that pollution and climate change are more important. However, the supporting ideas remain limited and are not fully explained. For example, you mention species’ ecological roles and possible medical benefits, but do not show how their loss affects ecosystems or people. The points about pollution and climate change are also asserted rather than supported with a specific example or explanation. Your position is present, though it is repeated in the introduction, opinion paragraph and conclusion without being developed further. The response is 9 words below the required minimum, so it does not meet the task’s length requirement. Develop each side with clearer reasoning and a relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph for each view, your opinion and a conclusion. This makes the main direction easy to follow. You also use signposts such as “Furthermore,” “On the other hand” and “In my opinion” to indicate relationships between points. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, particularly in “Climate change causes by gases used and so many and rising sea levels,” where the relationship between causes and effects is difficult to follow. The conclusion repeats earlier claims rather than drawing the discussion together, and “however” does not clearly connect the ideas around species loss and pollution. Use clearer links between each claim and its explanation, and avoid repeating the same position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “ecological equilibrium,” “species,” “pollution” and “rising sea levels,” which helps communicate the subject. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “global discourse” and “medical potential.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make meaning less clear. For instance, “species weather plants or insects” appears to mean “whether plants or insects,” while “our well-being and vigor” is an awkward way to describe human health. Spelling errors such as “benificial,” “harmfullness” and “sup up” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise environmental vocabulary and check spelling and collocations so your ideas are expressed naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast structure beginning “While some individuals think…” and a clause introduced by “because.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make sentences difficult to understand. Examples include “The primary environmental problems, has became,” which has incorrect agreement and verb form, and “Climate change causes by gases,” which is missing a suitable verb construction. The opening “While…” clause is also left as a sentence fragment, and “there s several problems” has an agreement error. Punctuation is sometimes misplaced, including the comma after “problems” in the first sentence. Practise complete sentences, subject–verb agreement and accurate past participles, then proofread each sentence for a clear grammatical structure.
