Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the contemporary world, people differ that the main environmental problem of our time is the species of plants and animals are becoming extinct day by day. Others believe there are more important environmental problems. In my opinion, environmental issues such as excessive release of carbon emission and air pollution are the main problems on which people need to focus.
To commence with, most of the wildlife photographers have claimed that nowadays they have to go a mile extra to get the sensational pictures of the wildlife species. This is primarily because, in the wildlife sanctuary and forests such species are rarely seen or captured. For example, it is globally observed that the number of animal species like hippopotamus and elephants have almost come to an end which creates a sense of panic among the animal lovers.
Furthermore, some people think environmental issues like air pollution, deforestation, excessive usage of plastic and burning of fossil fuels are more concerning in comparison to the animals and species problem. This is largely because, these issues are highly affecting the health of an individual living in the society. For instance, excessive release of carbon emissions from the vehicles and large factories has become a main source of air pollution which often leads to problems like asthama and cardiovascular diseases. The relevant authorities should take serious steps to deal with such issues.
To conclude, it is reiterated from the above discussion that plants and wildlife animals are decreasing day by day which afftects the professional lives of the photographers. While, some believe environmental issues like air pollution, plastic usage and release ofd carbon emissions are more concerning as people are often diagnosed with cardiovascular and other diseases beacuse of this.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses both views and gives a clear opinion: the introduction identifies carbon emissions and air pollution as the more important concerns. The paragraph on species loss offers a relevant example, while the second body paragraph explains how pollution can harm human health. However, the two sides are not developed equally: the claim that hippopotamus and elephant numbers have “almost come to an end” is broad and unsupported, and the link between species loss and photographers’ work does not fully explain its wider environmental significance. The conclusion mainly repeats earlier points rather than drawing the comparison together. Develop each view with more precise evidence and explain why your chosen problems should take priority. The response meets the stated length requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Sequencing is generally easy to follow, and signposts such as “Furthermore,” “For example,” and “To conclude” help readers identify the stages of the argument. However, some linking is mechanical, particularly the repeated use of “This is primarily because” and “This is largely because.” The conclusion begins “While,” but the contrast is not completed in a fully balanced sentence, and “it is reiterated from the above discussion” is an awkward transition. Improve cohesion by varying how you connect explanations and examples, and use clearer references so each sentence links naturally to the point before it.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “wildlife species,” “deforestation,” “fossil fuels,” “carbon emissions,” and “cardiovascular diseases.” These terms make the subject clear, and some less common expressions are attempted. At times, however, word choice or collocation is inaccurate or unnatural: “people differ that” does not express disagreement idiomatically, “go a mile extra” is not the usual phrase, and “professional lives of the photographers” is an imprecise description of the impact of species loss. Spelling errors such as “asthama,” “afftects,” and “beacuse” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural collocations and check spelling carefully, especially in key topic terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
The response includes a mix of simple and complex forms, such as the relative clause in “issues … which often leads to problems” and the explanatory clauses introduced by “because.” Most ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors occur. For example, “the main environmental problem … is the species … are becoming extinct” combines structures incorrectly; “the number of animal species … have” has subject–verb disagreement; and “While, some believe…” is an incomplete contrast construction. There are also issues with articles and sentence boundaries, including the comma after “While” in the conclusion. Work on building complete clauses, checking agreement between subjects and verbs, and punctuating introductory linking phrases. These corrections would make the argument smoother without changing its meaning.
