The diagram below shows how electricity is generated in a hydroelectric power station.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
There is a graph of producing electricity in hydroelectric power station with the help of water. Therefore the graph explain the intake of water in day and night by the dam. And the working of reversible turbines and generators.
The water from dam generate electricity with the help of tubines and generators. Tis is called hydroelectric pow station.
There is a dam attach with the river and it has high level water reservoir. In the day the door of dam is opened and flows of water to the reversible turbines for enerate elecricity. when the water comes to the turbines it can be spin and gives the power to the generator for produced electricity.Therefore the water flow to the low level reservior So, the power line of national grid is attached to the generator for tranfer of electricity. Therefore, in night te reversible turbines pump water back from low level reservior to the high level reservior
