IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The diagram below shows how electricity is generated in a hydroelectric power station.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The given blue print illustrate the proportion of, that how electricity is produced in a hydroelectric power station.
A river is located at west side in the corner, on that river a huge dam is been made that stops the flow of river water. Dam was been open on day and closed at night. River had a high level reservoir. On day flow of water to generated electricity is passed to the power station in generator having reversible turbines on day it was operate generator and power lines are connected with the generator. This generator produced the hydroelectricity in the power station and passed to powerlines in national grid. And after day water passed from the turbine into the low-level reservoir. After this low level reservoir pump water into high level reservoir in reversible turbine and this will passed back to the river at night during pumping flow of water.
